One of the best places food shopping. A delightful selection of produce, cheese. dairy, meats, wine, prepared foods, bread, and baked goods especially their tiramisu, pistachio biscotti and muffin tops. Enjoy visiting whenever I get a chance and when I need to get something prepared in a pinch.

absolutely horrendous service. christmas eve i ordered and paid for a tray for 22 people of chicken franchese. it was paid and ordered dec 1. i was told to pick it up at 1 pm on december 24. i arrive after 1 pm as they had indicated that they had many pickups that day and i would have to wait. i was there at 2 pm. the woman (owner) could not find my order. came out again and informed me they they did not have my order and they would have to cook it and it would be an hour and a half! this was for 20 guests and i was driving to upstate new york. the manager then came out and said there was nothing he could do. they never placed my order. the rude woman then informed me that one of their ovens broke down. i said why did you not call me??? she said i could go to register one and get a refund no apology. nothing. i then had to order from anthonys pizza 60 chicken wings and pizza to bring to christmas eve dinner. i will never step inside this market again and willmake it known on every website i can find to tell this story. no one can believe this.

If I could give a NEGATIVE 5 I would. This was our first time ordering catering from Maywood Marketplace. We ordered a cooked turkey for Thanksgiving with CARVING. I called over the phone before ordering and specifically asked if their CARVING meant it would be put back together whole for presentation purposes, the response was YES it will be put back together. When we went into the store to order the turkey we ASKED AGAIN if the carving meant it would be put back together as an entire turkey for presentation purposes. We were told YES it will be put back together. Fast forward to the day before Thanksgiving we picked up the turkey to find out it was carved and NOT put back together. The catering is very disappointing. Besides it not being carved the way we were told it would, there was only a small amount of tin foil covering the turkey. When you pick up catering from other places it's always wrapped tightly with tin foil/ clear wrap so no air easily touches the food. I called and spoke with the OWNER MANNY, he was EXTREMELY RUDE and NASTY!!!!! Never once did he apologize or say how can I make things better so you return as a customer. Clearly doesn't care about customer satisfaction. He said you can come and get your $10 back for the carving. Completely dismissing the point that the carving wasn't done as it said it would be. He said he's been doing this for over 20years and it's always been done this way. That is fine but by no means is it carved and put it back together. The entire turkey is broken apart with the parts all out of place. I went to a butcher showed him the pictures, asked his opinion and he agreed this is not put back together. Maywood Market has False advertising, completely LIED, COMPLETELY disappointing, AWFUL service, will NEVER order from there again This cost $150 with the carving ! Happy Thanksgiving

Everyone was talking about this place and how wonderful it was so I decided to check it out . A bit on the expensive side and brought some individually wrapped sweets like cakes and brownies some were dry and some didn't taste well. Service was great though but the entrance is super confusing if it's your first time there . The entrance is on the right side of the market. There's so many doors and none let you in except the sliding doors on the right .

Maywood marketplace five years ago used to be the place to go for amazing prepared meals, catering and a great overall local food store. Let me preface that this was a regular stop for my mother because of the quality of food and the service. Now all of that's changed unfortunately. Management/ ownership has become money hungry and now charges 10% of your grocery bill as a delivery fee which they call a convenience charge. Here's the best part of this. the so called delivery fee does not go to the delivery person because it is listed as a convenience charge. Therefore, the delivery person only gets whatever tip is given on top of the delivery/convenience charge. Absolutely ridiculous! Not to mention, that there have been many items that were either questionable as to their expiration date or very close to their expiration date delivered to my mom's house. Bread in the picture was purchased 3 days ago. It's unfortunate, because I believe in giving back to local stores however, this is just not worth the over priced prices, lack of quality and nickel in and diming for delivery.

This market has possibly the highest ratio of quality per square foot on the planet. It's a relatively small space packed with great items everywhere you look. Very high quality prepared salads, soups and dishes as well as usual supermarket fare.I appreciate their choice of what to stock, it is usually the higher teir items in each food section type.

First time I have been here and I was truly impressed with the selection and quality of the produce. The whole section smelled like a backyard garden. The bakery area was well stocked with selections of breads from some of the best bakeries in our area, like Hudson and Balthazar. The cheeses were plentiful, but not as varietal as I expected. The prepared food section was one of the most incredibly diverse and appealing that I have ever seen, but the prices are absurdly expensive. I truly understand the niche market, but the prices are easily five to ten times what it would be to make it yourself....for some of the simplest dishes. Great place, but I'll stick to the produce mainly.

I just love coming here. The fruit, vegetables, bakery and prepared foods are exceptional. The wine selection is crazy. Meats are too quality and the prices are reasonable. If you have to, go out of your way to get here!

I hate to do this, but I’m never eating food from here again. First time there was a roach in the roast beef cold cuts package. I showed it to the cashier and she wasn’t phased. She just told me she’d tell a manager and for me to get another one. Yuck! I decided to give them a few more chances even though I was grossed out. Then, the other day I purchased mashed potatoes from hot prepared food section, and they were spoiled and tasted like vinegar. Even my mother said they were horrible. Also, the products are overpriced. It’s not worth it anymore. I will travel a little further and go to Shop Rite for fresh food and decent prices.

It's a nice little store but the prepared food has a lot to be desired in quality. Things are often sour or marginal at best. The chimichurri sauce is great but a lot of the little pastas, sandwiches, chicken/tuna salads in the fridge section or other little dishes don't taste very fresh, taste low quality for the price etc. I got this Greek pasta salad there. It was sour and awful. It reminded me of cafeteria food. They charge Market Basket prices but a lot of the prepared food has quality in question. The counter with hot food one time I got salmon and it was full of bones and the broccoli Rabe wasn't very fresh. I do like their produce section.

My first visit. Loved it. That salad counter is amazing, as was the prepared food section. I couldn't resist buying everything under that roof. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to this place for the past 35 years my parents even longer and family and friends and over the past few years things have gone on a little bit downhill quality of the prepared foods. Also, we purchased some peppers the other day brought them home saw there was a little stickers on them same product of Mexico why this place cannot purchase from American farms..Also, for many years besides myself, others friends, family have also complained about the cashiers. It's almost like they give them no training.. that you think if they help bag for you it's a no-brainer stick the heavy stuff on the bottom the lighter stuff on top so you don't stick heavy stuff on top of soft bread on more than onward.Well, every time almost that I go in this place and I didn't go in for a while just because of it once again, because I had a lot of items she offered the bag which is nice, but she just started to throw the stuff not even put it in your nicely, throw it in the bag and it wasn't even anybody behind us. It wasn't even busy Management needs to do a better job and train them since they don't know how to do it is the package groceries and I hope they start purchasing more from American farmers. If everyone else is OK with eating products from Mexico that's fine I'll my family will not purchase any further from this place at least products produced in Mexico
