About Painted Turtle
The Painted Turtle is an authentic cedar log cabin, located in the historic heart of Medford Lakes, New Jersey, a friendly and scenic community of natural lakes, rivers, and woods. Owners Karen and Nancy chose this area for their Moonstar Soy Candle business. The store is primarily a Gift Shop and Co-Op, representing local artists and artisans. There are handmade and hand crafted items, goat’s milk soaps and lotions, as well as Pine Barrens Honey. There is no shortage of vintage, antique, re-purposed and one of a kind items, beautiful handmade stained glass items, the makings of fairy gardens, many types of jewelry, some handcrafted from natural materials, Chakra, primitives, small furniture, wine racks, Books, and Bottle Lamps.

Cute little gift shop with a wide range of candles and "local" merchandise like Medford Lakes shirts or canoe carnival postcards.

The store is incredibly laid out and always changing. I found Karen, the owner to be incredibly gracious, easy going and knowledgeable. The store had a ton of unique local items. The store was very clean and took multiple forms of payment which is very nice. I will definitely be coming back!
