Short back story, me and my family were displaced from a house fire. We were recommended to Lakes Appliance through our contractor. The manager Scott sat down with us and took the time out to see what we needed and what we wanted. After making our selections he was able to give us everything cheaper than what major department stores were offering for the appliances. On the day of delivery the guys were on time and carried everything inside the house for our contractor to install. Once our power was restored to the property our dryer wasn’t powering on but without hesitation the manager Scott setup a replacement delivery for the dryer. On the day of the 2nd delivery the guys were on time and swapped out the inoperable dryer with the new one. They really went above and beyond what they were responsible for by stacking our drying, reconnecting the brackets and the gas and vent. If ever you are in the need for new appliances i would 100% recommend Lakes Appliance! Thank you!

Like shopping local. ******* was a very good salesman. Appreciated his input. Delivery was quick, courteous delivery personnel. Lakes Appliances is terrific.

Refrigerator died and look for bottom freezer since I have mobility issues. Found this store online. Left msg for text and heard from Patrick next am. He was great. He found one in my price range that fit my kitchen. Also got delivered in few days tomorrow. Hope all g es well.

Where do I begin with this debacle? Purchased a washer and dryer totaling over $3100.00. First I was deceived that there were no discounts for the brand I purchased.....not true, nor were they the only appliance store around to offer this brand! I left message for the salesperson on the day of delivery and never heard from him and was told his co worker never gave him "the message". Called customer service to set up appointment to address my concerns. Dealt with a snippy person, at best. Service person came out and took photos of my concerns, included a chip on dryer and well as an uneven washer lid. I was told to continue to use the washer and they would get back to me. The gentleman even took photos. fat forward two weeks and I call costumer service , and once again greeted with "attitude" and asked what was I waiting for a call back for?????? I was floored! I wanted a return call for the status of my issues. The answer I received was, the washer works so whats the issue. After numerous calls were place, I asked for the manager. He was suppose to call me back on a Monday, and I called him at 4:50 pm and asked why he didn't call. He was "on vacation" and didn't get to his call backs yet. I told him I wanted to return the appliances, and he said fine and set up an appointment for the return that Friday by 4:00 pm, and they finally showed up at 4:45. I was told they would issue a credit to my Visa. Well it is over eight days, and upon calling the store two days ago, I was informed the refund is out of their hands, and it was turned in!!!!!!! INCORRECT and a blatant lie as I have contacted my credit card company and there is NO pending refund from Lakes Appliance....anywhere! My bank is working with me to obtain my refund as I now have charges for a new washer/dryer set from a local appliance store on my Visa card! BUYER BEWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM LAKES APPLIANCESPS I have heard from other dissatisfied customers, but thought I'd give them a chance!

Lakes Appliance is hands down the BEST store for your appliances!!! Honest staff and quick delivery and set up. Stop dealing with the box stores as they are a waste of time and money. Our salesman ********************************* in ******* is the man to see!!! He was helpful and so courteous!!

Thanks to Jim Woods, I had a 5 Star Experience. He first assisted me on the phone, patiently answering my questions. When I arrived at the store, he had actually kept notes from our conversation, and was was able to guide me through the different models of microwaves based on my preferences. He set up the delivery to be extremely convenient for my schedule. When I will need other future replacement appliances, I will request Mr. Woods to assist my purchases. I also plan to recommend his services to all my friends and family. The delivery was as scheduled; the gentleman was prompt and effortlessly and professionally installed the microwave.

I’m so glad places like this still exist. Our refrigerator died and I needed a replacement soon. East Gate box stores were out of stock, long delivery times and generally unhelpful.Mr Woods was wonderful. He took the time to find the perfect size, color and delivery time to accommodate our needs. Terrific customer service and a great price. The fridge was delivered today, on the day and time expected, by two young men who was friendly and efficient. Great shopping experience and I will be a returning customer.

I was in a fix with a broken dryer. I was able to buy a new one over the phone at a great price. I took delivery in just a couple of days. Every aspect of the transaction was seamless. The folks were friendly and professional and the dryer works great! I won't have to think twice about as to where I will but or have my appliances serviced in the future.

I had a really bad experience with a salesperson. I came in looking for a very specific appliance but the guy was so persistent in talking me out of it and to something he wanted me to buy that it came across as arrogant and condescending. It made me so irritated I just walked out. Now I know what it's like to be "mansplained" to.

We had a wonderful experience with Lakes Appliances as we were choosing all new appliances during a kitchen renovation. The GM, Scott Kentrus, personally helped us to pick the right appliances for our needs by educating us on the best products, value for money, and quality of the manufacturer customer service. We truly appreciated his patience during the many months of visiting the store to choose the right products. We even waited 10 months for our microwave, yet Scott kept us informed and answered questions along the way with the appliances we did receive. If you want high quality appliances and excellent customer service, Lakes Appliances is definitely the store to visit.

I do not recommend purchasing from Lakes unless you like getting shamed & blamed for issues with your appliances. In 2022, we purchased 5 major appliances from Lakes. One was a front load GE washer. It worked for 8 months, then stopped spinning the clothes dry. 2 service appointments later, nothing was resolved. The serviceperson first told us we were using too much detergent, then at the second service call said we weren't putting enough laundry in which caused the machine to become unbalanced. My husband ended up going into an aFib episode from carrying a load of sopping wet blanket upstairs to wring out outside. I spoke to Scott, the Sales Manager and told him I was infuriated and wanted the issue resolved or I'd give a bad review to the BBB. He told me I was an awful person to give a bad review to a local business, and that a broken washing machine was insignificant in comparison to other issues in the world. He called it a "minor inconvenience" that the machine wasn't working for over a month and then offered to send the same repairman out who wouldn't listen to me during the last appointment. He then scheduled an appointment for me directly with GE after I told him I should not be the one to do it, since we purchased the 5 year warranty through Lakes. He said that after 1 year, I'd have to schedule directly with GE, since the service contract was with the manufacturer, not Lakes. After the bad service and then being told I'd have to go through GE for repairs anyway, I might as well have bought my appliance from Lowe's or Home Depot. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before purchasing there, because many other people apparently experienced similar issues with Lake.

I spoke to Scott, the Sales Manager and told him I was infuriated and wanted the issue resolved or I'd give a bad review to the BBB. After my help call, I got a quick Second Opinion about a repair, a new part was needed. They got the part and called immediately; the repair was very problematic and troublesome, but John put in his best will and knowledge and got it repaired after much effort.

I had gone in this summer looking for a Weber grill and they were not helpful at all. It was like I was doing them a favor. I do like to support local businesses but I probably won't go back there again. I called this week looking for a gas stove and the salesperson acted as I was bothering her. They need new employees.
