“we have a high anxiety, reactive dog and we have always been stressed over going to the vet because it is one of his triggers. we were told the vets here are fear free and specialize in dogs like ours so we decided to call and see how we felt. before even scheduling an appointment, we were able to set up a plan for when we bring our dog in to try to limit his anxiety. the receptionist, techs and doctors all took our plan seriously and listened to us about our dog’s triggers. we were able to have the most thorough exam he has ever had including nail clippings (which we assumed would be impossible given his anxiety with paw touching) and aspirated a lump we were concerned about. the lump was one that other vets had tried to aspirate previously and were unable to, so we were impressed with how easily dr hallihan was able to do so. the entire staff at this practice is kind, helpful and listens to their patients. this is the best vet we have ever been to and if you’re considering going here, definitely give it a try.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Basking Ridge Animal Hospital and Dr. Hollo. After our other vet would not remove a growth due to concern of it being more of a major issue, Dr. Hollo came to the rescue. We have a pretty big, but VERY nervous dog that does not do well at vet visits. Everyone we came into contact with was so compassionate and understanding of his situation. When I first called, Nicole took the time to listen to my dogs history, speak with Dr. H about any suggestions, and had us in to see him within a week. At our appointment, Dr. H was exactly what our dog needed. He almost immediately offered to move to a larger space so he was more comfortable and was able to examine him and make clinical recommendations about treatment. He clearly “understood the assignment” and adjusted the appointment so our dog had a good trip. Surgery day was equally successful. Accommodations were made in order to treat my dog as he needed and I couldn’t be happier. Every single person that helped us was smiling, warm, welcoming and I’d definitely recommend them.”

“If you're looking for the best possible quality of care for your pet, you've come to the right place. We have been coming to CAH for more than a decade - and have entrusted every single one of our pets in their care. We have never once been disappointed with just how compassionate, thorough, and caring the vets here are. I'd like to especially give a shout-out to Dr. Lorig. Dr. Lorig, is just incredible. She treats our pets just like they're hers. A couple of years ago, our 16-year-old Husky-German Shepherd mix got cancer. Dr. Lorig was realistic about treatment options, compassionate, and answered every single one of our questions. Sadly, we had to consider our dog's quality of life -- which went down quickly -- and Dr. Lorig followed up with us to express her deepest condolences. She goes above and beyond, answers every single one of our questions, and our pets absolutely love her. You can tell she loves what she does, and believes in what she does as well. The front-desk staff and the vet techs are some of the nicest people you could ever meet. There have been multiple situations where I had an issue with my pharmacy fulfilling a prescription (this is a problem with the pharmacy I use) and whenever I've called CAH, someone always goes the distance to make sure we get the issue resolved. They always do their best to fit us in as early as they can, follow up with us, and are absolutely always so friendly when we come into the office. Thank you to everybody - you guys make a scary experience for a pet a comforting one for both pet and owner. Sincerely, to all of the staff at CAH, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you guys and could never imagine entrusting our pets to the care of anybody else.”
