My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Aamco Transmissions & Total Car Care in Metuchen. After having been totally ignored for 3 days at a local dealer and sadly realizing our car needed a transmission, I read the great reviews about Craig at Aamco and believed good things must be happening there. We had our car towed there and were so happy we did. Once we contacted Craig at Aamco, our situation changed dramatically. Craig was extremely responsive, did an immediate diagnostic test and clearly explained what needed to be done. His price was very fair. His staff THOROUGHLY looked over the car, found a few things that also needed fixing and did them without charging us extra. We couldn't be happier. Craig definitely takes pride in his work and business and strives for customer satisfaction. What more could you ask for?

Fast! Dropped my vehicle off Sunday evening with the convenient key drop. Monday morning, first thing; I received a phone call and discussed issues at hand. I had several things needing to be done including the ordering of a part. Before the work day's need on Monday I recieved another call stating my vehicle is ready for pick up. The service is much appreciated.

What a fantastic repair shop. My beloved 15-year-old car’s air conditioner has been blowing hot air for a few months, and some friends recommended your business enthusiastically. I’m so glad they did. Setting up an appointment online was simple and I quickly received a call back confirming the details and asking me what service I needed. Everything was spelled out clearly for me, including diagnostic services to be provided and all costs. When I dropped off my car, I found a clean, pleasant shop with a very friendly employee at the desk. He explained what would be done with my car and that they’d call me when they had diagnosed the problem. Within just a few hours, I had all the answers I needed and agreed to the proposed repairs. Just a few hours later, my car was done. Much faster than originally anticipated, and the cost was reasonable. Nobody tried to talk me into services that I didn’t need, and I am completely satisfied with the work done here (I was actually CHILLY driving home!). I know where I’ll be going for car repairs from now on.

Worst place you can bring your car, dealership told me to bring my car the to get oils checked out and they fixed some other expensive part warranty covers and since I didn’t want to pay the hourly difference out of my pocket my car came out with a bad transmission problem which I didn’t have problem with at all. The owner Chris didn’t want to help me at all when I came back right away to let him know about the clicking noise. Closed the doors on me and said they got no time to bring it back 3 days later. They will scam you for money and mess ur car up to bring it back

I recently had to get my car towed to Mavis, they said it was my transmission and engine codes, and a problem with those issues. They said they don't do that work and advised a transmission place..We spoke of AAMCO, because it was right there. BOOM.. The next day they diagnosed the issues and problems 2 days later and a less then new car price my car repair was done. EXCELLENT JOB and very good service from beginning to end.

I had put off getting an oil change because the staff at the drive thru place I was previously using made me incredibly uncomfortable. I gave AAMCO a try today and couldn't be happier with my experience. Craig was super friendly, respectful and helpful. I at no point felt pressured into services that I didn't need. I couldn't recommend them more and will definitely be back.
