I am not happy at all with the Middletown NJ office. My daughter was in an accident a few months ago, thank goodness she wasn't hurt. After months of figuring out insurance claims and what not, I got the approval to get the car fixed and a car rental reservation for a car of similar size. I chose Enterprise in Middletown and arranged to pick up a car on 8/14/23. When i got there the two women told me they only had a minivan or a pick up truck, my insurance would put $30 a day towards a midsize vehicle. I would have to come out of pocket for the balance. The balance on a midsize would be approx $15, the balance for the van or pick up would be over $30. The lady with the blonde hair told that corporate was going to be dropping cars of to them that afternoon and i would only have to pay over $30 for that day. I was priority and that she would call me as soon as a car came in. I tried calling multiple times with no answer. Finally on Thursday 8/17/23 I got someone on the phone. She said she was sorry and that she was expecting cars to be dropped off that day or the next... " Thursday is a dumping day of cars ". I heard nothing and i tried to call a few more times. The only time I heard from anyone was today. I received a voicemail ( i couldn't answer I am not allowed my phone in my job ) from Valencia, she explained that she would be charging my card again to keep me up to date with the truck and if i had time this week to make an appointment to switch out vehicles to give them a call and we can talk about the security deposit. I called immediately with no answer again. I called from inside my job and was put on hold for 8 mins then I was hung up on. This is by far the worst customer service I had to deal with. I don't even know what to do at this point.

I've rented multiple vehicles from this location over the last few years, and they have always exceeded my expectations regarding customer service and the quality of the vehicles they have available. Most recently, I rented from the branch manager, Larissa, and she was awesome! She helped us find an alternate vehicle when our plans shifted and we were so grateful for her help!

Rented a vehicle from their Rt-35 Middletown NJ location with the help of Kenny Elysee who was very helpful and accommodating. He showed me multiple vehicles to choose from within my price range and was able to quickly get me set up and going! I ended up with a small SUV which suited my needs well including the option to return it to a different location. I would rent from this office again!

Terrible rental car company. Tried to put me into a Mazda CX-5 with bad brakes and severe wheel alignment issues. Additionally, the vehicle had body damage across most of the vehicle. Had like 40,000 miles on it. Some beater from NYC.I asked to get the Nissian Rogue, but was told it was reserved for someone else. Mind you I reserved a Nissian Rogue and was the only one there. Waited while Larissa was on the phone with other enterprise locations trying to find another SUV. Of course none had any. Enterprise never has enough vehicles and many of their vehicles are no longer in good condition.Told Larissa I was just going to leave and grab something from Avis. I was leaving for a one week trip and didn't have time to wait around while enterprise figured out what to do.She got off the phone and told me I could now have the Nissian Rogue. Waited for the vacuum guy to vacuum the car. Took 30 minutes and that's literally all he did. Car hadn't been cleaned inside or out. Larissa took the Mazda over to Firestone next store and never came back. She apparently told the vacuum guy I could just leave. Wow.Was Platinum for a number of years. Reasons like this are exactly why I stopped using them. I only used them this last time because I had points for free days. Never again!

Enterprise is the only rental car service I ever use. Courteous,friendly,fast and reasonable. The agent I dealt with this morning went above and beyond? to get my car to me. Thank you so much

I just used Enterprise of Middletown- I had an accident- and had to drop off my vehicle for repairs- Jack came to the location of where my car was at - with the rental- couldn’t have been more friendly and thorough, I also spoke with Zach and Jack a few times during my Lengthy process of my vehicle being fixed- they were awesome! I just got my car back and the guy who drove me back- was soo nice and kind- I would ? recommend Enterprise or Middletown!Thank YouHeidi H

I use them because my insurance company is tied to them, I get a great deal and they are very polite. I do have to agree with a review that I saw in regards to the cars not being very clean. When I got the rental home, I vacuumed it and used wipes to clean the car and the wipes turned black. I wasn’t driving around in that mess for a week. The office was also disgusting, full garbage cans and the rugs looked like they haven’t been vacuumed, ever,,,, just saying. There’s absolutely no reason for any of that.

Staff was friendly and helpful, but I got a rental I wasn't really comfortable driving (a HUGE suv, which I guess was the only vehicle available) and the oil light wouldn't turn off. The insurance they offered seemed CRAZY expensive to me ($17/day !), but maybe that's consistent with industry standards. To be fair, at the time that this review is being written, there's a BIG shortage of vehicles & related services due to various reasons, so under better circumstances, I might've given this location a 4 or 5 star review.

BEWARE!! had to use Enterprise because they have a contract with my car insurance. The car that was dropped off was disgusting and dirty (referring to the inside). They claim to have a "Complete Clean Pledge" and "Enhanced Cleaning Measure", this is NOT TRUE. When I called the Middletown branch, I was told to take it to a car wash (why was this not done prior, they had the reservation well in advance, what about their cleaning measures). I did and when I asked that they clean the inside (which was dirty with nasty food stains, crumbs and old beverages stains), they gave me hard time and brushed me off. Drove home and called the Middletown branch again. Spoke to a female who stated that the car was clean (told her I had pictures). She told me that they can't help if the car is dirty on the outside and that sometimes there are stains that don't come out, never taking ownership of the problem. I shared with her that I did not care about the outside of the vehicle, but inside the car was NEVER cleaned nor wiped down, NOTHING. My husband went out with a shop vac and cleaned the car. Never at any point did they accept ownership of the issue, and had me do their job by taking the car to the car wash and then cleaning it ourselves. I know that mistakes happen, but when they lie and make you (the customer) feel bad, that is never ok. Ironically, a female representative from Enterprise drove this car to the autobody shop for me to use. I guess this is their standard, to have customers drive dirty disgusting cars.
