This has been my store for many years since a friend told me about ShopRite when I came to live in New Jersey in 1997. I started going in again in person. Since the pandemic I’ve not had a chance to do so and got so used to Instacart. I definitely still do Instacart for Costco and bjs but the best thing is getting to Milburn. The place looks even more inviting since they renovated it.

Since the renovation, I've been very disappointed. Big negative change in product line/availability, lousy policy changes, and horrible customeriss service. No longer my favorite market. I miss the old market and people.

Yesterday, I bought "fresh" red snapper. I took pics. It was sticky, had a peppery/slightly fishy smell on the skin side...the sell by date was May 26th (the future) but it's clear the window of freshness has passed...I all geared up for a good meal...threw it away and took out the trash. Also, they don't sell Jelly beans or Bell and Evans

A small Shop Rite that caters to the area which recently underwent a very large renovation which made it modern with more choices. The employees who work here are all very nice and accommodating.
Parking lot is small and unfortunately, many people park in the fire zone. I wish someone would regulate the carts which are usually left all over the parking lot.

I don't recommend Online orders... There's a five dollar online order fee along with bag fee and delivery fee. Not to mention driver tip. They don't have delivery staff at the store. My last order was delivered by Door dash. I didn't know about the online fee until everything was paid for..?

Had a terrible experience today at the millburn shoprite. I bought bread on 12/1 and the bread went moldy. I checked the expiration date and realized the bread they sold to me expired on 12/2 - so it was only fresh for 1 day. Thus, I went back to get it replaced and the manager told me it was my fault for buying bread that expired in 1 day! So they wouldn’t let me exchange it. I mean seriously…when I go shopping I don’t have time to check every item I buy expiration’s date. That’s the job of the store and to not sell expired food!

Deli department is an absolute nightmare both when it's slow and busy. Ordering on their tablets is a joke. It's consistently so bad...orders rarely ready..or even received. ..I just gave up and now resort driving to another store just for deli items. IrritatingUpdate: So I decided to give the deli dept another shot. And things went well for 2-3 trips to the department over the last few weeks. Then....once again...the same old issue. I order on the I-pad... return an hour later only to be told that they didn't have my order. I was told by the employee that they had just started their shift and that it was the prior shift that made the error...The deli was void of any other customers or orders...and I wasn't even offered to have my error corrected. Just finger pointing and the people working there earlier. I get that there are technical glitches at times and human error. But 50% of the time..there's a problem. The lack of customer service and employees blaming others as an excuse is just plain sad.Do better ShopriteBack to Kings I go again for deli supplies.It's my fault for thinking somehow things might have improved with all the positive changes to this particular facility. Just not a place for fresh deli.

Newly remodelled (updated)store. Same footprint, aisle organization, but less congested. Still expensive, less organic produce. But good in a pinch.

Very good fresh produce and meats! Where are the warm and friendly employees that used to work there??? I’ve been going to this location for 20 years and use to look forward to the rapport between myself and the people that worked there. Now there’s less smiling, less customer care and personable people working there….. I hope it improves soon.
