Alex is so good for our house external painting! Very professional and high level of aesthetics. At first, we chose a main color with help of Alex and we thought it looks so good after 1st layer of painting. He suggested to add other color for the triangle of my house and it will make it more attractive. Sorry Alex, we had doubts on your advice before. It really makes more attractive after adding the color. We love it. Please trust Alex! He is the best!

Alex and team did a great job. The company provided a few different services for this job: exterior painting, add new railing to front and new downspouts that had become damaged over the years. Everyone was great and could not be happier with the results. Alex contacted me everyday to see how things were going and also provide great ideas along the way. He helped make everything run very smoothly. George was very responsive during the process to determine which company I would use at the start and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be using them again.

Excellent Service and Detail!
I recently hired Alex and his team to power wash, sand and stain my large wooden deck, and I couldn't be more pleased with their service. Alex was very punctual and excellent with communications throughout the entire process. The painters arrived on time every day and carefully removed all my furniture from the deck before starting their work. They power washed and painted the deck over the course of the week with great attention to detail. Alex regularly checked in to ensure everything was progressing according to plan. Even after the project was completed, I discovered some minor issues, and they promptly came back to fix them without any hassle. I highly recommend Alex and his team for their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.

We are completely impressed with the high-quality work of the Gikas team. Our Montclair home was in serious need of painting, along with needing the multiple exterior carpentry fixes that present themselves over the years. And our color plan included 8 different shades of several colors! When George came to walk the property to gather info for the estimate, my husband noted that he was only one of the several people from whom we solicited estimates to not take a single note, and yet when we got our estimate in about 5 days, it was highly specific and detailed and George actually had "found" things we had missed! And even after that, as the job progressed (with no added charge), they fixed more and replaced more shingles than we anticipated. Alex was our project manager and was highly responsive to any text/call. He also made himself available at a time convenient for the designer we were using to talk paint finishes. The crew was there by around 8am, 6 days a week. They seemed to have good relationships with each other and I would credit Alex as when he came by, inspecting and advising, there were always smiles. I'm sensitive to how "bosses" treat "workers" and I never had any stress in that category. Every day as they left the property as cleared up as possible. And, of course to note the most important thing....the results. The workmanship is A+ in our opinion. If any of you are considering Gikas, I'm glad for the office to release our address for you to check things out for yourself. And the "window on the chimney" has never looked better, Alex!

Very pleased working with the Gikas team after having a very bad past experience with another contractor.
Their work was meticulous. I saw their signs all over town so already that was how I chose them to handle my exterior painting and gutter project. Alex was fantastic in getting everything scheduled, coordinated, and ensuring his team worked efficiently and consciously in keeping the work area clean during and after the project.
I will definitely turn to them again for my upcoming interior projects. Would 100% recommend!

We have worked with Gikas for years and have always been extremely happy with the results and the experience every step of the way. They renovated our front porch and it turned out even better than my original vision. The latest major project was an exterior paint of the house which required sanding down to bare wood and replacing many wood boards. It took weeks and the end result is gorgeous.They helped us with understanding paint colors and were very patient with all of our questions. One of the best parts of working with Gikas in my opinion is having Alex on hand to troubleshoot and problem solve. He is such a pleasure to work with and a gives me peace of mind knowing if we are not happy he will work to find a resolution. Another important component of any renovation is the crew that is at your house. I have to say I have always been pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and courtesy of the Gikas crew. They clean up every day and treat our property very well. That may sounds like a given but we have had some horrible experiences with other companies and not felt comfortable with who was here. Living in an older home you will inevitably come upon "surprises" and not the good kind when doing a home renovation project. We have found Gikas to be excellent at pivoting and working with us to explain what they have found and what our options are moving forward.

George gave us the estimate for exterior house painting and repairs after telling us we didn't need complete painting job only a refresh. That consisted of 2 coats of primer and final coat as well as repairs. Alex was supervisor of the job and he was always responsive and helpful with all issues. Luis and his crew did the hard work consistently and well done in good time. We were very pleased with the results. Thank you Gikas!

I highly recommend Gikas Painting & Contracting services. We had a new roof done on our main house and garage. In addition they installed new gutters, painted both house & garage. Along with staining the deck. We couldn't be more please with the quality and precision of this team. All work was completed within a few weeks even with rain delays the job wrapped in no time. Gikas provides a hefty crew to make things happen in a short timeline. Our next project will be windows and we will definitely be using Gikas Contracting services. I hope this is helpful to anyone seeking a quality painting & contracting company.

The Gikas Painting Co., worked diligently on our kitchen refinishing/updating project. The Supervisor (Alex) and his painting crew were very atune to the details in refinishing 30+ year old cabinets. They worked both onsite and in their paint shop to complete the priming and painting of the cabinets. We also used plumbing, carpentry, electrical and flooring services provided by Gikas - all dovetail nicely to complete the project. The Gikas crew definitely pays attention to details and listens to the customers requests. Thank you, George, Alex and Crew!
