My custom fitted leather pants were lost or sold by Hipollito. I make that statement because it's all true and I have police a report to prove it.
I paid $150 upfront to have my leather pants altered. I wasn't satisfied with the first fitting but took them anyway because I was attending a fashion show in Harlem the next day. He promised he would fix them and told me to bring them back after the fashion show. This all happened in September 2023. Subsequently, I went out of town. I called him a few times and he said they weren't ready because he was backed up with business. That when I should smelled a Rat. When I returned in December he said they weren't ready. So I purchased 6 of his signature skull caps for friends and family for Xmas. Still no word from Hipollito regarding my pants. Just more stalling.
Finally in January he confessed and at first said he packed my leather pants by mistake for a
Fashion show in DC in November or so. I asked "why have you been deceiving me all this time"? It's been almost 3-4 months. He had no response. He then said “James, I’ll do whatever it takes to make it right"!
I was so disappointed in him I said “I’m leaving your store because I can't believe this is happening”! I have NEVER left clothes for alteration and not had them returned to me. I'm 68 years old and this is a first. When purchasing the hats I also gave him a $50 deposit on a beautiful gray men’s overcoat.
He promised to pay me $800 for my pants and return my $50 Zelle deposit for the overcoat. That's a total of $850. I have our agreement on a recording. Well he Zelled me $600 a few weeks after we made an agreement on the terms of his restitution but I never received the balance of the $250 owed (pants/deposit. He told me on my last visit we were done as far he was concerned. When I lasted visited him there was Montclair firefighter getting a fitting for a suit. I wanted to tell him so badly, be careful because he can't be trusted but didn't want to cause a scene.
Well, we are not done sir. That's what the legal system is for. Unscrupulous business owners like yourself. STOP THE MADNESS.
Business doesn't have to be shady. Just communicate and have some integrity!!

Hipolito opened at 7AM because I had a garment that needed altering for an even the next day. He is professional, courteous and kind. I so appreciate that he accommodated me early before business hours. WHO does that? He does. I can't wait to see the finished product. He was explaining to me what needed to be done; the garment is sequins all over and lined. I know how much work it will be to make what is already beautiful spectacular. I paid for the work without blinking an eye. A dry cleaner is no match for Hipolito. Support our Black Businesses.

After 2 years of going nowhere, I realized my own closet was a start for getting back out.Well the body changed and I wasn’t going into NYC often for tailoring.Found Reburish Fashion online. Reviews sold me.Mr Hipoleto is my “go to” now. Fast, reasonably priced and really listens to you during your appointment. He makes me comfortable and the result makes me feel and look pretty darn great.

If you are willing to pay for quality and satisfaction, I strongly recommend that you check out Hipolito at Rrefurbish Fashion. In anticipation of a major conference for my job, I got two suit jackets made to order, plus a 3/4 length coat (each with Neru-style collars) - three pieces total. After one consultation to describe what I wanted and one measurement, I received all three products within the timeframe promised. The entire time, we exchanged texts and correspondence as needed to facilitate a smooth process. Personally, I had a lot of fun hanging out at the shop and meeting other customers as they received their goods. It was assuring to seem them all pleased with their pieces. As a result, I have another set of custom items under construction as we speak. I now view Hipolito as my personal tailor. I recommend that you do yourself a favor and explore whether he is the right partner for you.

Hippolito is the real deal. He helpedme ensure that I had the perfect fitting dress for a really important weekend. Not only did the alterations come out perfectly, he did it in under 3 days. I have a new go-to tailor and a new friend!

I went to Hipolito for a bespoke suit for my wedding day. I couldn't have been happier with the result.He created a beautiful 3-piece suit exactly to my specifications and measurements. Only the bride looked better.

Hours should be updated to by appointment only always. I went on a weekday only to find the door locked. And both phone numbers went to voicemail. Was hoping for alterations with all the good reviews, but they're not easily accessible.

I came here with a couple pairs of jeans that were too wide at the bottom and was looking for a tailor to taper them from the knee down while making the leg opening smaller. My jeans came out absolutely perfect! Looks straight from the factory, no defects, you can not tell these were altered in anyway.The man is a perfectionist, he did exactly what i asked for and had me try them on to make sure i was happy with them. First off, I need to apologize. I left a rather scathing review because I was upset and anxious about my fiance not receiving his tuxedo on time, and our wedding is in 2 days. I am very sorry, Hipolito, for any negative impact it may have had in the 24 hours it was up.We've just picked up the tux and it fits him perfectly (so he says, I'm not allowed to see it). Hipolito gave us a small gift to apologize for the delay and to congratulate us on our upcoming nuptials. My fiance has stated he was an absolute pleasure to work with, and is very happy with the results. Thank you Hipolito!

Update: I had originally given a 3 star rating but this guy right here deserves 5. I originally thought his prices were high at $30 or $35 per hem. Since having gone to other places I see that is standard pricing. Here's the thing: another tailor quoted me lower on the phone and then raised their prices upon my arrival. A second different tailor completely ignored my request to reuse the original hem and made his own. Not cool. The gentleman who runs rrefurbish shot me straight with his prices from the beginning. Not only that, his work is far superior to work I've since had done. I'll be back, my friend. Thanks for your work.
