I was there just for a county meeting. However, I got to witness their morning service and was impressed at how orderly and effective they're even as they prepared the room for a large meeting. I also met Ms. Delllouise, who treated me extremely well, and for which I'm grateful. Great work by the Montclair Salvation Army!

I applied for rental assistance through the Salvation Army in Montclair, NJ, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. After waiting two months for a response, I finally received a call from a case manager who told me she didn’t “think” I would qualify. When I offered to bring in my paperwork and explain my situation, she dismissed it, suggesting I find another program instead, without even reviewing my documents or understanding my circumstances.
I believe everyone deserves a fair chance to have their application and situation fully reviewed before being turned down. It felt like the decision was made without any genuine consideration, which made the process seem arbitrary. The organization should treat all applicants equally, rather than picking and choosing who they feel like helping. If you're looking for assistance, be aware that this may not be the most reliable or compassionate option.

Very positive energy and employees here. You have to be a multitasking Saint to accommodate the unfathomable number of people who are struggling these days. They’re doing it quite efficiently.

Before the pandemic I frequently came here people were rude stunk and greedy the food was a hit or miss. Since the pandemic I haven't been there let the needy go they're needing food more than me

Ann Marie was a wonderful help getting my friend some housing assistance. She was thoughtful, helpful, supportive, and helped my friend during this incredibly difficult period. Warm, friendly atmosphere. No pressure worship with good mix of contemporary and traditional. Best 28-30 piece brass band in the eastern USA! Quality praise & worship band also! Solid Biblical teaching & preaching! During COVID must pre-register on web site for in person worship W/mask.
