I had an appointment on June 2, 2025. I went to the salon to receive a relaxer, haircut, and rinse. The style I desired was a pixie. I showed Shamila a picture and she proceeded to do my hair. I left the salon satisfied and assumed this was the first of many visits. The following morning I realized there were inconsistencies with the haircut. Inconsistencies I couldn't see when my hair was freshly curled. I called Shamila on June 3rd and asked when I could come in again for her to clean up the cut. She said she would send me some dates and times. She did send 2 days that would work for her via text. I responded to her text within the hour. I let her know I wasn't available on those days. I did however, respond with some dates of my own and asked her to let me know if they could possibly work for her. She didn't respond to my text. It is now June 12th and I still haven't heard anything from her. I had to visit another salon to fix my hair. I paid Shamila over 300.00 including a generous tip to do my hair. I think it's disgraceful that she wouldn't make the time to make things right. Her booking site claims customer satisfaction is important. I guess it isn't on Mondays, which was the day of my appointment. While at her salon, Shamila shared with me an experience she had at a distributor. She said she didn't like the Manager of the establishment because she reached out to her to inquire about a service and the Manager never got back to her. She made it clear that she didn't appreciate that at all. My advice to you Shamila....treat people the way you want to be treated.

Overcharged me and kept my 75.00 booking fee. I will never ever in a million years step place in this shop. I am so upset and it should be against the law for people to do this. Never ever again. It's been 4 months later and I am still angry š š” in regards to the service I received from this beauty parlor. Placed my deposit in Square payments and it was never ever to be seen again. What a RIP off.

Zero out of anything. If I could give negative I would. My experience was so bad I walked out after my wash. Shamila is Unprofessional and Unpleasant. This was first time there and when I waked in on time I initiated a ā Hiā because she barely acknowledged me when I walked in. I donāt know maybe as a first time client expecting a warm welcome is not how she does business.
Shemila told me I could hang my coat up and sit by the sink because she was finishing up the clients hair. While waiting 30 min for her to finish working on her clients hair she was pressuring the client to record her meanwhile this client did not want to really be recorded and said so. Then she tried to record again but this time in her in her wig cap to take measurements and the client was being very adamant about not wanting to be recorded then she finally stops asking her and finishes her hair.
While sheās looking at videos with the clients she turns and ask me what was I getting. I begin to explain but I notice her back is turned and is not paying attention so I stop talking. She turns and says I can hear you. So I continue and again sheās not paying me attention while explaining my hair situation and what style I want.
Shamiela finally comes to wash station and starts to wash my hair and asked me what kind of style do I want. I explain again letting her know my hair was damaged and I really want to get it healthy, (keep in mind I booked for a haircut) and want a short bob. We decide to see my hair after itās blow dried and she puts me under the steamer then rinses and blow dried me.
Now blow dried she ask āWhat you want to do?āand she didnāt say it nicely. At this point Iām confused because we went over this I told her about my hair, what I donāt like, what I want, and my hair goals. I say āIād like to defer to you for professional opinion, Iād like to hear it from your level of expertise.ā Do you know she got mad and brought her ghetto out! āYeah I am the expert and have been professionally doing hair for yearsā¦ā She kept telling me I have to get a shorter style bob or cut my hair to a pixie. I asked for a short bob from jump (again not listening) then sheās telling me Iām going to have to cut my hair (Duh I booked a Haircut). Then she offered to trim my hair and I just told her no. Her energy was so bad I sageāed. I would never let someone who doesnāt listen, and has terrible negative energy cut my hair. This by far was the worst hair experience I ever had and I would HIGHLY recommend to NEVER GO!
And she over charged me $70 for the wash and conditioner knowing she was wrong.

The Shamilah Experience is EVERYTHING!!Yesterday morning was my first visit with her, and she was as amazing as I expected. Shamilah is a true professional who is highly skilled, very personable, and very knowledgeable. Everyone has been ranting and raving about my new look..I must admit it does look fabulous and beautiful! I highly recommend her!!!NOTE: Shamilah received a last minute call to do a celebrity's hair while I was in her chair. She refused the job. She said she would never cancel her clients' appointments, not even for a celebrity. Her clients are most important!Services: Haircut

My hair journey has been uneventful . I've had stylists who abused my relationship with them and come late, overcharge, and get comfortable with mediocrity. I searched for someone who could do exactly what I was asking for. SHAMILA...SHAMILA...SHAMILA!!! Not only did she give me what I was asking for but she EXCEEDED my expectations! She embodied my vision 100%. I was referred to her via Social Media and now have decided to bring my daughter to her as well. She is not only professional but warm as well. I look forward to the versatility She has for me!!

This by far the worst, donāt even waste your time and money. She was late and whole hour late. I knew I should have left when she shampooed my hair and never conditioned it. Letās get into her unprofessionalism, late, talk way to much, constantly on that phone. I spent Hours there I was from 8am to 4pm. rough on your hair please Iām telling you donāt go and she donāt give a f@&k even when i told her i didnāt like my hair, no realEmpathy what so ever. I should have looked at these reviews before. Then she actually doesnāt know what the hell sheās doing the style she is doing is supposed to be a protective style so much of my hair come out. Normally would never write a review but she doesnāt need to be in this business. I would never wrote this but this one got to do better. She has to be accountable for her work ethic. I wish I could give negative points. Shamila is one of the most unprofessional I've ever dealt with. She takes days to respond to messages and calls when that is literally the only way to reach her. I will not discredit her talent because she's good at that which I why I was so gracious. However, it got to a point that felt like a burden when I reached out for legitimate reasons. Example: To schedule you have to call her. Once I called to schedule (which took multiple attempts) I send a $75 no refundabl/non transferable deposit via Zelle. Once she receives deposit THEN she sends you the particular hair needed for the style and address of shop. The problem was that, even after confirmation of deposit received, she took a more than a WEEK to respond back with hair needed (literally only giving me one day to find that hair). It was frustrating and seemed kinda foul. For a while I actually thought she was a scammer based off her actions (or lack there of) once she received the deposit. Ultimately, I decided not to reschedule because of the nightmare trying to work with her and lost my deposit. Again, she's talented but very unprofessional so I would NEVER recommend her.

Horribly unprofessional. The communication started off pretty poor, I texted the number provided to make an appointment, most of the responses were not prompt they were very sporadic, and I got left hanging when I asked for a reminder time for my appointment. When I arrived, I contacted the shop owner to let her know I was in the vicinity and then she announces over the phone that she lives 45 minutes away and is JUST leaving her house because she "had a situation this morning".... So now I'm sitting on the phone like OK so what do you want me to do? Then she's like my assistant is there (That was definitely a sigh of relief for me because I'm thinking OK, I can still get my hair done within a reasonable time) BUT THEN she says "but my assistant doesn't know how to do the style that you want"... omgggg are you serious???? Then she's like can you come back later? NOOOO, I cannot. I have come from almost 45 minutes away and made arrangements to have my son babysat so I could come here... duhhh, the whole point of making an appointment... So I'm sitting there at the shop, waiting for her to arrive, and it ends up being an hour and a half that I had to wait for her to arrive. All while not giving me any updates on her ETA whatsoever. So I'm just sitting there like an idiot. When she arrives she has this grand story about the police showing up at her house that morning. And she was not too apologetic at all... I think she did say the word "sorry" but it was once. And it seemed as if she said it only because she knew it was what she should say at the time......... I know things happen, and it seemed like it was something beyond her control, but as a business owner and professional, you need to communicate with people and respect their time as well. Not only did I have to wait an hour and a half/almost 2 hours for you to show up, you didn't even try to accommodate me for the inconvenience. Your assistant was completely lost, not any fault of her own though, it was because you weren't giving her any information either.... (By the way, her assistant was really sweet) It seemed like the shop owners attitude was "well things happen... you understand".... I wasn't given a discount, coupon or anything .... She looked me dead in my face and charge me the full price and told me to have a good day. I will say that she is a skilled beautician, that's the only reason she gets that 2nd star... But I was really treated very poorly as a customer. Never going back.
