Everyone is so polite and considerate and helpful and ready to explain about the food.Cozy, quiet, comfortable ambienceThey also have different choices for spice level. The food is so flavorful and delicious.I can’t imagine anyone not loving this place and the food.I saw someone gave a bad rating because they didn’t have Chopsticks for 10 minutes!Really ?that person doesn’t know that Thai food is not served with Chopsticksit’s like asking for chopsticks with Indonesian food or Indian foodThat’s all Asian, there has so many countries in Asiabut not all Asian food comes with chopsticks, which comes with only a few types of Asian foodProbably the staff must have gone and got Chopsticks from somewhere else to honor their requestand given it .Instead of being Thankful and grateful they leave a bad review ??That shows the ignorance of that person .

Ricky's Thai gets a low review from me -- and no returns -- because of a simple pair of chopsticks.I was there with a friend on Feb. 2, '24. The appetizer and main courses were very good ... BUT ... when our main courses arrived I asked our waitress for a set of chopsticks, since they were not automatically placed with the table settings. (My friend prefers Western-style fork and spoon.)The waitress said yes to my request in a friendly way -- and then never returned.I sat waiting because I just don't enjoy tasting metal with fine Asian food. The owner/manager was nearby, so my friend asked him.He confirmed that we just needed one (1) set -- and then busied himself elsewhere and never saw that I got them. Finally, I stopped a waitress serving other tables and made my request for a third time. It took about about three minutes before she finally brought me a set.I sat there a total of 10 minutes -- or more -- with my food getting cold, because the staff of Ricky's Thai ignored me and my simple, polite request for chopsticks.Maybe because so few non-Asians know how to use chopsticks (but I do), the staff didn't take me seriously. Probably thought I was just making a frivolous request. Two stars for Ricky's Thai, and I'm not going back. You really can't blame me, can you?

We were happy to try this restaurant, very unhappy because the fish is not fresh. Not spoiled yet, but strong pre spoiled ammonia

I ordered the traditional ground chicken thai style kra pao and it was so delicious and I will definitely order this again(highly recommend). I also tried the crying tiger, it tastes interesting, very well seasoned, has a hinge of tomato taste, I neither love nor hate it. serving is on the smaller side for crying tiger as well(as you can see the sauce takes half of the plate. overall will try again!

Five years ago, before we moved to South Carolina, we were regulars at Ricky’s restaurants. So, we were looking forward to catching up on our return trip from a vacation in Canada. I can report that Ricky’s Thai in Skillman continues to offer great Thai food and excellent service. We particularly enjoyed the Pad Kee Mao and the Bangkok Shrimp. Ricky is a great host and we just wish we could find this quality of Thai food in the Hilton Head area.

I hadn't been to a Thai restaurant before and this was excellent from the moment my friend and I entered. It's a hidden gem, I think, tucked in a shopping plaza. We were greeted with a warm, friendly face followed by a most helpful waitress. The place was immaculate, spacious and relaxing. Our waitress didn't try to rush us and took time to answer any questions we had.The prices are very good, surely comparable to any good lunch place. From ordering to getting our meal it was very fast and the food was excellent. My friend likes vegetarian with little to no spice whereas I'm a spicy nut.We both loved the food and will definitely come back.We never would have known about it had our first lunch choice been available but they told us so we decided to try it. So glad we did.If you're looking for a Thai restaurant with good service, quality food, good prices then you must stop in here. They can make the food mild to spicy depending on your wishes. If you aren't sure of something just ask as they will take the time to answer all questions.I will definitely recommend this place and plan to come back.Parking: This is located in a shopping plaza so there are times it gets crowded but there generally is plenty of parking and the best part is it's free.Wheelchair accessibility: This really isn't wheelchair assessible.Dietary restrictions: Whatever dietary restrictions you have just tell them and they'll cater to you.

We usually get takeout, but the dine in is good as well. The spice level between here and their Hillsborough location are different (I forget which is spicier, the Hillsborough one is on my way home from work, so it depends what day of the week it is where i order) but the taste and quality of both places is very good ? Definitely recommend, a go to place for us

We hadn't been here in a while and were looking for something different for dinner. It's good that we remembered about Ricky's. The food is always great, and our waitress was friendly. The ambience is also nice, a step above what you'd think for this price point, which is reasonable.

Overall solid Thai food friendly staff except the one young lady with glasses. Asked for brown rice instead of white and she looked at me like she was eating sour grapes. I’m tipping you for your service, I expect to be served my rice preference without facing your callous attitude.

We LOVE this place and have been coming for years. Before that we went to the Hillsborough location and I'm happy to say that the quality is the same at both locations. Our favorite dishes are: shrimp dumplings, Thai salad (the peanut dressing is to die for), green curry, pad cashew, and the whole snapper. Always delicious and it's also BYOB which is really nice. We always come back ?Vegetarian options: Tofu or veggies instead of meat or seafood

MUST GO!!! This has now become my go to Thai spot!! Food is absolutely delicious, and menu is extensive. Always order something new when I come and it’s always just as good, the chefs are consistent! Shown in the video: basil fried rice, red curry tofu, and chicken drunken noodles.
