This is the BEST vet around. This is the only place we will bring our sweet Tazzy boy. They are patient and loving with all of the animals, and you don’t feel rushed when you go there. Cannot recommend enough.

It has always been a great experience bringing my dog to her annual checkups/vaccinations. They are easy to reach and also provided a good recommendation for heart worm preventive. I have been going to Montvale Animal Hospital for over a year and would recommend to anyone living in the area.

We brought our senior cat to Montvale for the past 2 years. We have nothing but great things to say about this vet. Everyone on staff is absolutely wonderful and treated our baby like their baby. Dr. Pang and Dr. Rachleff go above and beyond in answering any questions we had and always called us to follow up. Would 100 percent bring future pets to Montvale and we're very thankful we found them.

Fantastic staff! Small, intimate in a great way. Felt heard, they were amazing with my new dog, even when at one point I thought she might react they kept her calm.My only quibble is I wish the road they're on wasn't so busy, or the parking lot was behind/fenced. I had extra worry taking my dogs out of the car as they jump out (and aren't fans of going to the vet, understandably!) I'm sure part of my concern is my own anxiety (:

Recently brought our dog to the Montvale Animal Hospital after searching for a new provider in the area. Everyone at the office was very caring for my pet, and were all-around kind people. From this initial visit, I would highly recommend the Montvale Animal Hospital and know my pet will receive high-quality care during his next check-up.

I love this place. Brought my dog here because he wasn't eating and he had kennel cough. They gave me an appointment for the same day and they were so gentle with my baby. Great place to take your pets if they need medical attention.

Ive been taking my dog lily here for a while now ever since a bad experience at another vet and I couldn't be happier with Montvale Animal Hospital. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and take amazing care of my girl. They are gentle and loving definitely wouldn't want to take her anywhere else!!Just to add: my old vet used to make me drug my dog to bring her in and they are so good with her that I no longer have to do that.

We have been using MAH for several years now and are extremely pleased. The staff are so friendly and patient (we called a lot when our fur baby was spayed to check on her and they were all super nice ) The vets are so gentle with our dogs. They are so knowledgeable and truly take the time to thoroughly discuss whatever situation one of our three dogs are experiencing. We are so grateful that we found MAH because the love they all have for animals shines through and through there! Thank you!’

TO ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS PLACE, HERE'S A REAL EYE-OPENER FOR YOU...... This is just another EXTORTIONIST EXPERT "vet" practice. Starts out with a simple blood test and all of a sudden your happy, healthy dog who is in his prime is all of a sudden, IN THEIR OWN WORDS, "sick" and "unhealthy". Booked my dog for a routine dental cleaning and no more than 2 hours after i dropped him off, I get a phone call that even though they SAID THEMSELVES he was "ok" to have the procedure (as this requires anesthesia) his "liver enzymes were elevated". BOOM. There it is folks... BE WARNED....whenever a vet utters these words RUN AWAY. IT'S A MAJOR RED FLAG. It's the perfect trap for them, and merely serves as the PORTAL to start the GRAVY TRAIN ROLLING - that is, EXTORTING you for every last possible dime. I know because I've been through the same exact thing with OTHER DOGS and OTHER VETS - who all think you're STUPID. SO.... the FIRST time i had an appointment for the dental i went along with the recommended extra $400+ blood test and LO AND BEHOLD it was "normal" now, after making a BIG deal and made it seem like he was dying. so there goes the FIRST extra $4H down the toilet. ON TOP OF THAT they had my dog on some expensive liver supplement (another $70 to them) for a month. Meanwhile the poor guy was fasted and no water overnight and for HOURS until i picked him up, and no dental. So right there it shows you they don't give a hoot about that part either which is just another red flag. Anyway so i went along with it THE FIRST TIME, and then after that month passed we tried again for the dental and BOOM - NOW THE LIVER WAS FAR WORSE! He's "sick"! He's "unhealthy!" (THIER words) and NOW of course they recommend he should REALLY get the nice EXPENSIVE ULTRASOUND which usually also involves more expensive blood tests to go with it. so WOW! ...guess those expensive supplements you had him on did NOTHING. Of course, when i mentioned this - CRICKETS.THEN, when i asked to see the paperwork showing the results from the prior appointment AND the current one, MOST numbers were within normal range, INCLUDING the Bile Acid number which is important when administering anesthesia, but they still laid a guilt trip on me and said "it's up to you" if you want to go through with the dental. IMO THEY are the vet. THEY are the ones who need to determine if he's good to go, yet they leave it up to the patient. PLAYING YOU. like "well, we COULD do it but he could DIE. (they even SAID that) .. "OR!.... you could do these nice expensive tests and then we'll do it after we've extorted thousands out of you first." bc basically that's the interpretation. Now this is at least the second vet I've seen who uses the SAME EXACT WORDS as all other vets - "this (the most expensive thing that's likely unnecessary) is the "GOLD standard" of care. again, the guilt, and leaving everything up to the customer (bc that's what you are - a "customer"). So..considering all i decided to just pick up my dog and now i'm in the situation where I don't even want to go back there.In the end, Im actually glad I didn't have his teeth done that day, bc after meeting the woman who was to do the procedure, let me just say I was NOT IMPRESSED, imo she sounded and acted like a complete space cadet.ONE LAST WARNING: which goes to prove what SHEISTERS they really are..... if you write them a check as payment they do not deposit your check as normal. They take the information (routing and account#) OFF your check and put it through as a DEBIT; this way it goes through instantaneously. It's that simple, bc they know they're nothing but extortionists. Obviously it's happened to them enough times for them to see the need to implement this "policy" in the first place. I am a new customer and my experience at Montvale Animal Hospitalwas outstanding. When no other Vet would see me because they had no appt’s available and or weren’t taking on new clients I made one call to Montvale Animal Hospital and they took me in right away.I have a 15 day old baby kitten and I was scared as I thoughtshe was having trouble breathing.The staff was Amazing they took my baby and treated her withso much warmth and love.The doctor was excellent she took the time to answer all myquestions and concerns in detail. I left there feeling so good thatmy baby is in good hands now and going to be OK.Overall it was the Best experience and I am so happy nowthat I am going to be a part of the Montvale Animal Hospitals family..Thank you again to all the staff and doctors at Montvale Animal HospitalMy Bella is a very lucky little kitten.

We have been taking our 23 month old dog to Montvale since we first brought her home at 8 weeks. When we really needed Montvale, and called for an emergency appointment, we were told that they were booked for the day and were unable to fit us in any place. When we explained the situation that it appeared she was vomiting blood, we were told go someplace else as they had no time to see her. So if you are looking for a compassionate, caring vet who will treat your pet as family, don’t go to Montvale. What a horrible way to treat an existing patient. Shame on you!
