DO NOT COME HERE (unless you want to leave feeling horrible)My dad and I went to the branch after getting an offer letter in the mail. We wanted more information and wanted some clarification on some questions we had. An employee named John was available so we went over and he was extremely rude from the get go. When we mentioned we wanted more information on this offer, he condescendingly told us that all the information was on the paper and that people never read it. We tried our best to be patient and understanding but after a certain point, we’d had enough. I have never been treated so poorly in my life and as someone who has worked in the service industry, it appals me how someone could make others feel so bad. After reading reviews on this branch, I see that many others have voiced their frustration with this employee and it shocks me that they still employ him. We walked out of the branch upset and because of this interaction, we have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION OF OPENING AN ACCOUNT WITH TD. We went across the street to Bank of America and had wonderful interactions and are opening multiple accounts here. I know John is not a reflection of this bank but interactions like this are the reason why customer service and basic human decency are integral to the success of an individual and a business.

John was the rudest employee there. Despite what I needed he was condescending and abrasive. I’ll never go back to this branch and I’m closing my account with TD bank. Shout out the woman working the front desk she couldn’t have been nicer.

I went into the Montville TD on the first day of Hanukkah to deposit a gift for my daughter as she lives out of state. There was but one teller and 3 of us in line. A gentlemen in a suit came over from a desk (manager?) to help the second person. He took the deposit and disappeared into the back. It took a while, but he reappeared with the other person's receipt. He offered to do the same for me.I asked him to double check the account number to be sure I had it correct. Again, he went into the back and after about 5 minutes he came out and said he needed ID from me to make the deposit. Having done this before and never being required to produce ID, I sighed, but went out to my car to get my license. He copied down the number and again retreated to the back room. Another 5 minutes went by (a teller asked if I was being helped) and he then came out and asked for my social security number and date of birth, as I did not have an account there.Really? I understand precautions and protecting accounts of their customers, but surely this manager should have known the requirements upon first encountering the situation. It took multiple trips to the back office to come up with multiple hoops for me to jump thru just to deposit a holiday gift for my daughter. What was next? Fingerprinting? He said it was because I didn't have an account there. This is why I don't have an account there. TD stands for TOO DIFFICULT. I'll mail her a check and stay at Lakeland.

Do not patronize this branch unless you desire to be treated like garbage. About a week ago my 70 year old mother was made to cry in the parking lot after 2 tellers inside refused to assist her in paying her TD credit card, something she frequently does there - one harshly cited that he “can’t do that here” and the other threw his hands up and rolled his eyes saying she needed to speak up or else he couldn’t help her (my mother is not a quiet woman so I don’t know where the attitude came from.) Luckily a female teller finishing up her lunch break saw her crying and asked her to drive up and said she could take care of it immediately. Easy as that and with the kindness that a loyal customer deserves. I see we’re not the only folks with this type of complaint here. I know every worker has been stressed in this new pandemic world, but rudeness never helps in any situation. This branch should seriously re-evaluate who in their staff is client-facing. My mother has been a customer of TD Bank for over 15 years and used to go to the Parsippany branch, but this one is closer to her new home. She’ll be going to the Parsippany branch from now on and will soon close her TD accounts entirely.

I was assisted recently by Masamichi Kurimoto and can’t relay enough positive words about his professionalism, acumen, and overall client service approach. He is such an asset to your branch and should be commended for his service! Thank you. Masamichi!

I'm writing this review for my mom, who frequents the Montville TD Bank. She usually doesn't write reviews, but she's very frustrated. Whenever she goes into the bank she has to wait for an unreasonable amount of time. At least 20 minutes. This would be ok if the bank was busy, but this happens when they have no one else to help. The employees are busy chatting amongst themselves and no one pays her any attention. They basically ignore her.She runs a business and is very busy, as most people are, and she believes that the bank isn't holding up the standard that other TD banks do (like the nearby Parsippany Branch where the service is excellent and the staff is very polite and attentive. Why go to the Montville Bank then? Her work is often in that town and it's more convenient to go their during her breaks.)This TD bank branch should review their employees and do something about the poor service to better serve customers such as my mom.And if anyone is wondering which location is best in that area, just go to the Parsippany location. As mentioned, they are much better at serving their customers.

Not happy! Donna the manager is less than eager to help. Went in for a simple letter to indicate my account balance and she did not even attempt to hear what I want. Left the branch to another branch and they gave me the letter immediately.

The employees are always nice and the associate who helped me set up my bank accounts was really nice. The ATM machine there is really easy to use and helps save some time when you don't have too much time to fill out the paper slip for deposits and withdraws
