📮Mixed Experience, but Improving
The automated phone system is efficient despite being impersonal—I had a mail issue resolved quickly through an online form. Staff here used to feel cold and indifferent, but there’s been a noticeable shift lately. A kind older Asian woman who rotates between locations brings warmth to the service. Staff turnover seems high, and while they may be short-staffed, hiring doesn’t appear active.
Lines vary depending on the time and customer behavior, but I usually wait no more than 10 minutes. If the parking lot is full, expect a wait. The space is functional, though envelope selection is more limited than other nearby offices.

As a town resident, I am disappointed constantly by the rude and inefficient behavior of some of the office postal workers. The postmaster should be ashamed to allow it. My husband was going to send 2 packages for me - the zip codes were obviously California - yet since it wasn't written out he got a hard time about it (she could have just written CA on them). He left angry and brought the packages home. I'll be going to Cedar Knolls from now on. They also should be doing a better job of keeping up the look of the property!

Despite all of the poor reviews, personally I have had great experiences at this post office and the employees have gone above and beyond to help me. People must remember that post offices are short staffed nowadays and the demand has not subsided.

The worst customer service I've ever had in my life. The lady has the worst attitude, doesn't provide information, and doesn't help. I filled out the change of address form a few days ago, and they simply lost it.

Literally one employee and she moves like an actual sloth. I was waiting in line for almost ten minutes, all I needed was a receipt for a package and she clearly could see that. Then she let the last person in line ahead of everyone to do a bunch of paperwork that I’m sure would’ve taken another ten minutes. I left. Only come here if you have time to kill.

Rude and inconsiderate, came in for passport questions and to schedule and got completely blown off 5 other customers went through before I just walked out.Will never come back to this post office again

I’ve been to this locations MANY times before, including today and I’ve never had an issue. I shipped a large, heavy box (which I’ve never done before so I was unsure of the whole process) and the lady clerk took such great care of me and helped guide me on what to do.I didn’t get her name but (6/10 at 10:18am) thank you for your help!!

I went to this post office 2 weeks prior moving on March 1 to have my mail fowarded to my new address starting March 1. I have not received any single fowarded mail. Yesterday my previous landlord calls me and tells me that my mail is at the house. Like literally we are at the end of April and my mail that was suppose to be fowarded to my current address is going to my old address.

The stamped postcards I had put in the mailbox were delivered. But next time the staff at the post office told me to hand it over to her instead of putting it in the mail box and those never got delivered. Where did it go? Also the EDDM I paid for was never delivered to half of the households. I went to the post office to complain and question no resolution yet. I have quality checks for a lot of homes in the neighborhood so this came to the limelight. I feel sad how many small business owners like me who use this post office for EDDM are being fooled and charged money without service being provided. Have a formal complaint now in place hoping for a resolution and also disputed the charge.

this is by far the most unprofessional usps i have ever been to in my life they act like they are doing you a favor taking mail or packages this place needs new staff less then 1 star

Can I give Zero Stars? "Someone" left mail for my apartment building of 8 units on top of the condo bldg. mailbox in a pile with a rock on top of it. Credit Card Statements, Bank Statements, Utility Bills were all in the stack. Brought the stack to the Carrier Supervisor and was told he would ask the carrier what happened. Could USPS make it any easier to promote identity theft?

Avoid. We dropped off a prepaid priority mail parcel at the front desk and it was completely lost. That is, the parcel was never scanned anywhere and disappeared. I've never had a parcel vanish before and I've shipped thousands all around the world.FedEx and UPS are better options.

We've never had a lost a parcel with USPS before, but we dropped off a box here and it completely disappeared. The staff wasn't helpful in the trace it appears to gone for good.Avoid.
