The very first time we went to D+J was to get a second quote on our Explorer Transmission; it was slipping” quite badly, impossible to drive above 30mph.I was quoted $3000 for transmission with 80k (explorer had 100k) and $4800 new.D+J called 4 hours after we dropped off and said truck was fixed. Apparently, a “switch” or more other “plug” had become dislodged and the guys simply plugged it in.They didn’t want to take any money, but earned our business for life. “Well, my car broke down on the Interstate, a mere 1.6 miles from Rob's Auto. I called, desperate, essentially saying, "My car is overheating and I'm going to try to limp it to you guys. I dunno if there's anything you can do but..." The woman on the other end of the phone (Rob's wife), told me an integral and important little tidbit, "If you're gonna drive it and it's overheating, put some water in the coolant reservoir, it could help you get here." And damned if it didn't get me there. When I arrived, Rob came out and assessed the situation despite being busy with other work. The coolant reservoir was empty, thus my car overheating. It had a leak. I was an hour and a half from home. Rob filled up these two gallon barrels with water and refilled the reservoir. He said, "Just pay attention to the temperature gauge and refill it as you go. Typically, you wouldn't just use water but this will get you home." And it did. Rob and his wife helped a man far from home make it home with no payment or anything, just good hearts. I appreciate that. Thanks guys!!”

“All apologies about the lack of compressed air. The nozzle on the hose has worn out and leaks. The fitting has become seized on the hose end requiring the entire hose to be replaced and due to supply chain restrictions a replacement is not available. However a generous Certified Mechanic who wishes to remain nameless has donated their portable air compressor for Conoco customers to use between 14:00 thru 21:15 Monday thru Sunday”

I always provide my own oil and filter as I am particular about the material I use on my Volkswagen.I always have just walked in without an appointment and have been welcomed with a smile.I have never been questioned about wanting my own materials used and I have never waited an unreasonable period of time for the service to be completed. The labor charges and disposal fees are reasonable and any issues besides the services requested have been notated without the unnecessary upsell.I will continue to patronize this location and if you desire a no nonsense shop that is reliable; I recommend it.”
