This is the kind of response you get when they sell items that are backordered and don't give you a truthful timeline. If items are not in stock then why accept my money? Why not have a sign up list for when they are back in stock? I want my order its that simple. Don't sell or advertise things you cannot get or don't have.Hello .......I'm very sorry you feel we take "forever" to ship orders given that two of the three orders you have placed with us were for items listed on the website as not in stock. The first of those being the Bauer referee pants that were marked as backordered when the order was placed and then again with your numberplates (the site clearly states there will be a delay for production). Your third order (for the Bauer elbow pads) were shipped the same day the item was ordered. I am not going to deny the first 2 orders did not ship immediately, but they were both ordered knowing full well that there would be a delay.As for this specific order, all of our plates are manufactured by an outside company, and we are subject to their production schedules. The timeframe we list on our site of 2-3 weeks for production is an average from what we have seen from our supplier. There are times when plates come into us in about a week, and there are times when they run slightly longer. Unfortunately, our current order that have your plates included is one of the times they are running slightly longer. While this order is completed and will be shipping to us today, I am sorry that we will not be able to have your order shipped by March 31st as the order will still be in transit to us from our supplier.I am very sorry for what would have amounted to an extra week's delay to your order by our supplier. Despite the fact that we state (and you agreed to) there are no cancellations on custom orders, we will, as a one time good-will gesture, cancel your order since it will not be shipping to you by tomorrow per your instructions and issue a full refund. Depending on your bank, this may take upwards of 3-5 business days to post to your account.If there is anything else we can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask.Sincerely,Jim Nafus, OwnerThe Referee's Closet

Asked about a jersey on short notice, they provided a shipping option that would work. Ended up receiving a refund on the shipping because there wasn't an increase from their free shipping cost. Later, they told me the jersey had never made it to the post office and overnighted to me free of charge to make it on time. Excellent customer service, and I will definitely be making all my future gear purchases through them. Staff is very knowledgeable and knows their stuff, unlike the pure hockey and the other big retailers.

My favorite hockey refs shop. Very professional and prompt.
