Horrible phone system that keeps you in a loop and operators that are clueless. Just waited over 20 minutes and still not getting thru.

I scheduled my 12 month old daughter’s blood work at the Hope tower as I had seen recommendations for it in a mom’s Facebook group and I thought that surely at a hospital the staff is very experienced with taking blood work from babies. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. We arrived to our appointment on time. We registered fairly quickly. I specifically asked the girl at registration if we can have someone who is experienced with babies as this was our first time (other when my baby was born) of having done bloodwork. She told me she would put a note in about that. We waited, and waited, and waited (even though when I scheduled the appointment two days earlier there were plenty of open time slots for bloodwork) and there did not appear to be many other people waiting. My daughter was getting close to her nap time and obviously all of the waiting was no fun. People were getting called in about every 10-15 minutes which is very odd for blood work. It doesn’t take (in my personal experience) that long. Were they understaffed? Was everyone on lunch break? It just seemed odd. We finally got taken in the back around 3:45? Our appointment was at 2:30. There were two phlebotomists in the room (one younger lady and an older lady). The older lady was the one doing all of the work. She checked my wristband once as we walked in to the back area. In the room, she checked it again by reading every number out loud on the screen, which again,is just more time going by with a now tired cranky baby. Finally, she said she would take blood from the inner part of my daughter’s elbow. She tightened the rubber string and kept feeling for a vein with her finger. Then she stuck the needle in and had to dig around for a while before she actually hit a vein (which now of course my daughter is screaming her head off). As the blood finally begins to flow, I asked the phlebotomist if we should remove the rubber string. She said no. The other phlebotomist did nothing but stand there and hold my daughter’s arm in place. It took a REALLY long time to fill one vial. Then she attached a second one and it just was not filling up. She still did not remove the rubber string. My daughter is screaming and crying the whole time. The whole thing lasted like 15 minutes but felt like an eternity (when it should have been maybe one?) to fill up 1 and 1/2 vials. To top it off, she bandaged my daughter’s wrist so tightly that it was literally blue when we got home. It was clear that this was someone in training and we had a HORRIBLE first experience as a result. Oh, and then the valet took an additional 20 minutes to get our car back. I’m MORE than sure that I could’ve gone to any other lab and been in and out of there in under 30 minutes. Ridiculous! I would never go back here or recommend anyone to go here.

I had an ultrasound done at the Hope Tower today. The process of making an appointment was very smooth. I did not have to wait long to get an appointment. Registration was easy and I did not wait long. The ultrasound technician Courtney was very nice and knowledgeable. She made sure I knew the process and informed me of when I should expect results! Excellent experience!

I have been accompanying my brother to his daily radiation appointments at Hope Tower. I’m not the patient but every day, I hold back the tears when I see the kindness, willingness to help, and amazing care from the nurses, radiation technicians, receptionists, assistants, and Dr. Miller. I am truly so grateful and I know my brother is too. Thank you. 🙏

3 hour wait for pre-admissiom bloodwork! Communication about the long wait would have allowed me to make a decision to go elsewhere. It isn't fair to the technician (one) or the patients for what would seem to be the fault of administrative scheduling.

Myself, daughter and wife have had numerous blood work appointments with the team at Hope Tower. I can't thank or praise this team of professionals enough. They recognize the stress factor, soothe and move swiftly through their duties, with barely any sensation. In my experience the best.

Last day of radiation therapy ya - can’t thank the Oncology Dept staff at Jersey Shore Hospital enough. They are a wonderful group that treats the patient with such dignity and respect. They make what could be a very stressful situation very pleasant. I have delt with several hospitals on this journey and I can’t give enough praise for Jersey Shore Hospital, great hospital with a great staff if you ever need any cardio or neurological type care they stand above the other hospitals in this area.

This place is awful. They have no care for their patients. Ive had with-drawls because they don't answer the phone or help at all to refill medications.

I have not been satisfied with the care here. Doctor Danish conformed 2 diagnosis, sent me to another doctor to confirm which that doctor did. They sent me to get diagnostic test done before they did anything else. I finished the diagnostic test, took me a month to get back into doctor Danish, only for him to tell me I do not have what he originally diagnosed me with and that he can not help me. Very disappointed in the medical service I was provided.I was referred to another doctor, by my knee doctor that happens to be at the same facility, again only to be told the day before that, that doctor can not see me and I would have to reschedule with Danish because you can not get a second opinion from the same facility. Very disappointed in this as well

Losing hope with The Hope Tower..I travel 45 minutes each way and used to love this place.Fast sign in and follow up then usually you wait 10 to 15 minutes for your RN.Today I arrived as they opened at 7am then waited 75 minutes just to draw bloodwork. What once was state of the art is now broken.Pre administration is always fast and enjoyable.

Doctors and nurses won’t give me any updates on my mothers condition, when she’s too sick to tell me herself. Procedures being done without my knowledge. It was once a great place, now it’s awful. Go to Riverview or Centrastate instead.
