This Walmart is out of the way for me, but I was in the area and decided to stop in. My primary reason to visit Walmart is the toy section as I am an action figure collector. I am very used to going to the toy section in my local Walmart in Linden, NJ and finding *nothing*. They do restock now and then, but unless you are there when the items come in you're generally out of luck. Not so (apparently) at *this* Walmart. I went in looking for very specific toys and BOOM, as soon as I got to the toy aisle they had exactly what I was looking for. Now, given the sheer amount of stock I'm guessing they just put the items out on this day, but it was great to see stuff *on shelf* instead of just tons of empty space. The rest of the store is like all modern day Walmarts magnified (it *is* a Supercenter after all). The aisles are wider, there is more shelf space for everything and the lights are somehow brighter. Check out was quick and I had barely any wait. I had a good experience here and if I'm in the area again I would definitely stop by.

Approximately on par with other with other Jersey WalMarts. We got some baby stuff, fruit and drinks. All of those things are solid.

Beware of the Tom's River Walmart Optical Center. They don't take any insurances, charge 120.00 just for an eye exam, they don't even say what their glasses would cost let alone the frames. And yet they advertise on the internet they take most insurances, well I am on medicare, medicaid and they said no they are not accepting any insurances. This sounds like a fraud to me and should they should be investigated.

The employees running Pick-Up are unbelievably lazy, incompetent and slow. I was planning to pass through the area on my way to the shore and needed a few essentials, so I placed a pick-up order--supposedly fast, easy and curbside. Instead, I was sent on a wild goose chase along with another customer. The folks at curbside (when they actually picked up my phone call) told me I had to go inside the front of the store to get my order. Then, the folks at the front told me to go back to curbside. Long story short--I canceled my pick-up order and shopped in store. Stay away from this location if you're seeking pick-up services.

I like this Walmart location quite a bit, the employees are extremely friendly. The store has a good selection and the store is kept very neat. Walmart is always good for a last minute grocery item or Lawn care need.

I didn't go to the garden center but done some grocery shopping which I probably won't return to this Walmart. The store was a total wreck with very rude employees. While trying to shop and look for something instead of offering to help us find what we were looking for the employee just said excuse me in a rude manner as if we were in the way of her doing her job. This store in such a mess, I don't believe the extra minute or so that it was taking for my husband and I to find what we needed was going to hurt. I believe these employees need some people skills.

If you have to choose between this Walmart location or another one an hour away as your only two options, choose the one an hour away. Parking lot is always chaotic and the customer service, or lack thereof, is the worst customer service you will receive anywhere - no exaggeration, even pre-pandemic.

I initially accepted an invitation to try out their delivery service for 15 days. It was great. you pick a window an hour during the day and the order appeared on my front step within 15 minutes of the hour. fast forward to the next day and they charge you for the entire year in advance which is approximately $95 and since then they can't find my house! they're understaffed overworked too many orders pick an excuse. If it happened once or twice or five times I can understand but in my last 12 orders only two of them have even been close to on time three were actually canceled because they never got to my order before store closing and the rest were three to five hours late. Not acceptable when I'm paying for the service! I'm demanding a refund .

How about zero stars for Neptune Walmart.I have had so many issues with my grocery order.... two hour wait time, even though I had the text/email advising it was ready - "order not found" was one excuse, the other was we can't find your order. No one answers the phone at the store to complain and when I called customer service the answer was.... get out of your car and bang on the door to let them know you are there... Really????The management is horrible, I have requested a call back several times and nothing..... This Walmart has gone down hill and the customer service at the front are the most unprofessional rude people I have even dealt with...I understand the times that we are living in but come on.... be polite, caring and maybe just maybe pretend to care about your paying customers.I doubt this review will be read by management or corporate but I just hope it will save someone the trip to Neptune Walmart because you are wasting your time there.

Placed my order at 7:30 AM. Received an email at 8:15 stating they were preparing my order. I was also told my order would be delivered between one and 2 PM. It is now 4:14 PM and I have received nothing! When I called the store they transferred me four times, then put me on hold for 55 minutes. While I was waiting on hold I contacted the text representative and had to speak to three different reps and I still didn't have an answer. After being on hold for 55 minutes someone finally answered the phone and told me they're waiting for door dash to come pick up my groceries and I might have them within an hour! This was the first time I most definitely will be the last time I ever order a damn thing from Walmart!!!!
