5 years or more the leg press has been facing up directly up at the sun the entire first half of the day making in next to impossible to use, as its mostly unoccupied until sunset. Instead of relocating in when they shifted equipment around or tinting the glass, they added a 2nd one right next to it blasting your face into the sun again. Probably some of the least impressive logic ive ever seen. The cable attchements and other moving equipment are never lubricanted so they bind and squeak. With all the employees here it doesnt take much to spray up the equipment once a month really. The prices keep going up, no features have been added, there is zero guest passes. They should really incorporate like 5 or 10 passes a year for free but instead they charge your guest $20 per visit. Absolutely crazy for the cost of your membership. On the positive the pools are open 95% of the time but over all loosing the interest in this place, with LA and 24hr opening near by i might consider changing.

I just completed 8 personal training sessions with an Abby A., and I could not have asked for a better trainer! She’s a fantastic coach and I very much enjoyed working with her. She pushed me when needed and helped me break out of my comfort zone at the gym. Abby really made the experience great, worth every penny!

This is a long-time overdue commenation for the Front Desk staff.Zach (Mgr), Emily, Pricila, Cheyenne, Kim & Lia consistently manage the challenges of a very active operation with agility & good nature. RWJ Fitness & Health is very fortunate employing them as the "FACE" of this facilty. My wife & I are even more fortunate to know them. Thank you

If you’re serious about your workout goals stay away from this gym. The machines are old, always needing repair, a lot of dust in the air and a terrible gym culture. They have tons of treadmills if that’s your thing go here. Nothing works. There only 1 smith machine which is wobbly and any day now there should be an injury. Another major thing is gym etiquette is terrible. They sign up the kids in the area who have no idea what they’re doing and will crowd around multiple machines which will have you waiting for over an hour. They sit on their phone pointing and laughing about social media while you wait for a machine, probably the only machine in the facility. You’ll be lucky you dont get unknowingly filmed and end up on social media being laughed at. Happened to a friend who wants to sue. You’ll never get a full and complete workout at this gym. I don’t know much about their pool but I never wanted to even try it after members telling me to avoid it at all costs. The nicest thing I think is their cycling room but you can only go there during classes. The wannabe’s who go here aren’t considerate of other ppl’s time, hog the machines, break the machines, never put the weights back, never clean the bench after (I got a fungus on my skin & had to get prescribed Ketaconazole to get rid of it) overall not a good gym. You’re probably better off going to a Planet Fitness or something which tends to have days where the gym is empty. Managers at this place act like know it alls, they don’t understand proper gym etiquette and lack the ability to run a fitness facility that promotes a healthy gym culture. They seem to only care about signing more and more ppl up. The trainers are beyond pretentious. Obviously to get you to sign up for training. Avoid it. They are kid friendly which is great for busy treadmill moms who have the kids at the gym with them. But seriously is it worth having your child breathing in all that dust? Buy a treadmill and do it at home. This place is gross. Finally, at the end of the night they do the most annoying thing. 1 hour before the gym closes the announcer will come on the PA system every 5 minutes just to tell you it’s about to close. If there’s 10 minutes to closing they’ll do it every minute. Kills the vibe. Kills your concentration and makes it harder to finish up before they close. They just try to rush you out. This place is run mostly by kids who can’t wait to get off work and go wander around Rutgers. If you’re a woman and you’re in the ladies locker room you just might have a male employee come into the locker room to rush you out. Happens all the time and I think that’s actually a shame. It’s constant rap music blaring loud on their speakers or they play drake alllllllll day nothing else. I’ve spoken to managers they don’t care. If you see them in the reviews section they’re only trying to save their reputation.

The General Manager Luis, was very professional informative. I was definitely impressed with all the different aspects of the facility, you can tell the staff is dedicated to the betterment of their customers.

Overall the gym facilities are very accommodating, however the most recent customer service experience I had with the front desk staff was very disappointing. I had a concern with my billing prior to my renewal on 11/15/23 (with a credit card transaction process date of 11/13/23) - I called the front desk staff and was communicated that a manager would reach out and leave a voicemail - the staff mentioned definitive times that I should be reached out by - but I did not receive any callbacks or voicemails in regards to this matter.I learned that the manager that could handle this was out sick - however the front desk staff did not communicate that there may be a delay in response at all due to the manager being out sick - so I called on 11/09, 11/10, 11/14, and today 11/16 to get any update. The manager returned to the office today and initiated the process for my billing concern, which was fine, my billing issue was handled.However, my concern is the communication from the front desk staff. I just wish they could have set the expectation for a delay more clearly. This was not a time sensitive issue, but receiving no updates or any clear communication made me need to call these multiple days to request another follow up. Even if a front desk staff member called and left a voicemail stating that the manager was not able to follow up that day, that would have been more than sufficient.This is my last month of membership, so this will not be an ongoing concern, but thank you for reading my feedback.
