My mother Kathleen Munir came to your facility for treatment on January 19, 2024, upon her arrival she was informed that her Medicare didn't come through. She was then told that she would have to pay $100 to get the treatment that she need for her cancer. She paid the $100 and some social worker came out and informed the staff that she would not be receiving the treatment. I don't know where that is allowed or even ethical to say the least; since when is a social worker allowed to make that decision?? How do you turn someone away who has stage 4 cancer and treat her like she's just another number. This is deplorable to say the least and I will be contacting the ethics board in reference to that social worker. You cannot put a band-aid on cancer and then send her on her way! To add insult to injury no one has contacted her since to explain why she was treated so poorly. That's what you call bad faith and we have contacted legal services in reference to that. I would not recommend this place to anyone dealing with cancer if this is how you treat your patients! Refunding her money does not excuse nor justify the horrible treatment she received at this facility!! I have read the negative comments and their generic response just further shows that they don't give a damn about their patients!!!

Speaking on behalf of my husband and I we only have positive things to say. My husband was diagnosed with Melanoma on his back in early January of this year. The front desk and staff were very nice and helpful. Dr. Koshenkov took care of my husband and performed the surgery on the 24th. He is doing wonderful and I can not say enough about Dr. Koshenkov. He is compassionate, takes his time and answers any questions you have. We had a very positive experience.

I've been coming here for about two months now, after my last two treatments I was hospitalized with very low WBC and Red Blood Count levels, nothing was done about it.Just on to the next treatment.I find the Drs. have no compassion for their patients, which is sad when you're dealing with cancer. They don't return phone calls, and that includes the Drs as well as the nurses.Im going to go to Astera Cancer Care Center in Edison instead .,I'm leaving this place.Good Riddance

These are disgusting horrible reviews. I am looking for Cancer Care and after reading these reviews, why is this place even in operation? Shame Shame Shame on this facility and bless all you people that have been medically abused. I will continue my search

I want to give an outstanding shoutout to Dr.Berger, in 2019 I was diagnosed with an early form of Melanoma, I was greeted wonderfully by the receptionists and Doctors, They did outstanding on the Surgery that they performed on my arm, I am now 3 years skin cancer free, You all are Blessed in every way, you truly have saved my life!

I've been seeing Dr. James Aikins who is wonderful. However, the scheduling and front desk staff is a different story. Scheduling my procedure and follow ups was so unnecessarily frustrating due to an unhelpful, unfriendly scheduler. I had to make numerous phone calls and wait on hold because she didn't do her job properly. At my appointment today, the woman at the front desk was so unbelievably nasty for zero reason. Imagine dealing with a cancer diagnosis and having to deal with someone's poor attitude toward you. What an absolute disgrace and poor office management. Please do not respond to me with your nonsensical automated response. Fix the issues. Cancer patients have enough to deal with and deserve better.

I had a Clinic -Administered Medication appointment Today. When I arrived I was told it was cancelled. NO ONE bothered to NOTIFY me of the cancellation. I have been rescheduled for 8/15. Now I have to reschedule and repay with medical transportation.

One is too many stars for this bastion of sub-standard care. After my own dismal experience with a partial nephrectomy with the affectless Dr. Jang, I am now supporting my partner with brain cancer. There is no neuro-oncologist at CINJ so it’s parceled out to the urology department. Keep building that tower of horrors on Somerset Street for yourselves. Everyone else please go to MSK or anywhere else. This is a pathetic weigh station for ineffectual medical workers. The management could care less since they are grinding out young doctors across the street who think Rutgers is on par with actual academic institutions. Taking advantage of cancer patients with measly care is perverse.

If I could give them a zero rating I would. My husband had scheduled a partial nephrectomy for kidney cancer 2 weeks ago and we were informed 2 days before the surgery that there was a problem because we are on Cobra. I had paid the Cobra 2 weeks prior to the surgery, but we were still showing the coverage was cancelled as of June 1st. After numerous phone calls over the 2 days prior to the surgery, the insurance was reactivated. THEN, on the day of :surgery (to make a long story short) they did not have the pre authorization required so they cancelled the surgery. His nurse navigator assured him they would have a new date by the end of the week. No phone call. Another week went by and several follow up calls. “Still working on it”. Called Monday of this week. “Still working on it”. It is now Wednesday, and no phone call with a date. My husband has CANCER. Considering this string of incompetence, we will probably be going elsewhere for his cancer care.

RWJ Cancer center saved my life 2015. I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma which attack my spine, liver, spleen, lung and others. But doctor ann silk and her team of doctors. I own my life too. I'm still alive after all these years. They are the greatest. It's unfortunate that they won't let me come there anymore. They're the only ones I trust I've been to other doctors. They're the best. Their staff is the best. What happened to forgive and forget? I'm sorry about what happened. I really am. I wish you would really consider taking me back please

Please don’t go there for cancer treatment, my son passed 2 months ago from a “very curable cancer “ I feel he was neglected, his doctor used to tell him oh you are young and strong, he was very confident and really didn’t do his job, all he said at the end when there was nothing anyone could do to save may son’s life was that maybe he made a mistake, his maybe mistake took my son’s life and destroyed mine, he took my life as well

I would not trust the radiation therapy techs at this place.Radiation therapy techs at Cancer Institute of NJ at Robert Wood Johnson Univ Hospital are very defensive when asked any questions about the treatment. They claim to be very knowledgeable and expert in what they do but get very defensive when asked any question about the treatment you are getting and refuse to answer. The radiation oncologist Dr. Parikh is good to talk to but if there are any issues with the techs who are giving you the treatment; the oncologist refuses to resolve the issue and tells the patient to deal with the techs directly. How do you deal with someone to resolve the issue when that “someone” is the real problem?? The oncologist has not power to help patients if the techs are giving hard time to patients. Even the supervisor of the radiation technologist does not seem to have any control over her techs. The whole facility is “tech friendly” rather than “patient friendly”.I would never recommend anyone to this place.

We’ve been coming to CINJ since late December 2022 and we’ve been SO impressed by the physicians, RNs, financial aid staff, and support team! They are knowledgeable, caring, helpful, and truly have been amazing as we navigated this very rare kidney cancer in our young adult son. I’m a former cancer RN (chemo nurse when in N.C.) and so I’m incredibly picky and I’d highly recommend Dr Ghoudissipour, Dr Alexander, Dr Moerdler, and their teams.
