I am reviewing again because they were truly horrible to work with. We thought we were hiring Empire Moving. They took our information and gave us estimate over the phone. My husband walked through each room of the home and told an estimator exactly what was being moved. Then as moving day arrives we find out they contracted it to Cobra. I reviewed this last week and they responded that they arrived on contracted date- no, they were two days late. Also never called to say how late they would be and got irritated when I called the driver to see when they were arriving. Demanded different payment methods each time they arrived and wouldn’t work at all until I had that payment on hand ( even though I was not notified beforehand of the amount) Rude driver/ manager. He threatened to quit the job several times. Inefficiency- drove back and forth from NJ to Richmond Virginia three times because they didn’t bring trucks big enough each time! We have contacted their insurance company with claim information several times- despite Cobra saying we haven’t contacted insurance in six months- a blatant lie. Evidently my bad reviews triggered something because today my husband was contacted by the insurance company. With more stupid requests. Do NOT use CObra or Empire/ it’s not worth the very upsetting and stressful situation they caused. I was crying for weeks about whole thing. Overcharged us $8,000!

On Oct 17, I contracted CVL to facilitate my move from Miami to LA. With the destination being undefined, we agreed that they would store my belongings until I had my new address.Plans changed as I received an offer for a position requiring me to stay in Miami. On Oct 27, I called CVL (Christina) to ask if I was going to get refunded or was what I had already deposited $3273 (+ additional future storage payment of $230) sufficient. She never called me back but I did a few days later to follow up with the same question. Her response was "No, that's it!". To my understanding, I had nothing more to pay.On Nov 29, I called CVL (Briana) and gave her an updated move-in date (Dec 6), followed by a requested email confirmation: "Cobra would schedule the transportation of my items, based on this date."Dec 4, Briana called me to confirm.Dec 6, I still wasn't given a time slot but rudely met by Christina's explanation that the move-in date given was my first "available move-in date" and that they had up to 21 business days for delivery, which is veiled in the contract. As with many other BBB complaints, this could have been brought to my attention sooner and I would have made alternative plans. However, I was forced to work around this misguided information.Christina's dismissive attitude forced me to find and call the owner for answers. Yamit Baroz responded with a delivery date (Dec 13). The truck arrived but to my shock, nothing would be moved in until I paid the remaining balance of $2300 from the original LA-bound contract. So I called Yamit again but this time, I was received by a greedy, hostile and entirely different person who did not adhere to what Christina had confirmed. My things were not reassembled, some missing and others damaged. Moreover, they not only left my sofa outside the front door because it “wouldn’t fit” but my e-bike has yet to be delivered. For a total of $5803 delivered four blocks away, I, the customer, a non-professional mover was able to get my couch through the door, reassembled the rest of the furniture and completed the unfinished job.I am completely appalled by this unethical company who pegs themselves as a Professional Quality Moving Company. I highly recommend anyone looking for an actual professional moving company to NOT work with Cobra Van Lines and to look elsewhere unless you want your things to be damaged and you are looking to be as disappointed and traumatized by my experience with them. Please do your due diligence and READ THE REVIEWS and other BBB entries for your own sake. I wish I didn't have to give them a single star.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I ended up using Cobra because they were subcontracted by a larger company that I hired. The movers showed up 3 hours late to the 4 hour window I was given. No one was wearing masks or gloves (during COVID) and the proceeded to tell me that my move was going to cost me TWICE what the estimate was. Being that it was 8pm, the office was closed, and I had to be out by the next morning, I had to choice but to agree. When my furniture was (finally) delivered after being stored, I argued the amount of square footage they were claiming. Even though my items were measured near the original quoted price, they then told me I was being charged for the space needed for storage (not what I signed up for). Long story short...total SCAM. DONT DO IT!Services: Interstate moving

The whole moving experience was worrisome going in after hearing nothing but horror stories, but Cobra made it easy. We were assigned Cobra through a broker and everything went so smoothly. Jose and his team were friendly, honest, and fast! They made an extra stop for us to get some boxes at a different location and didn't nickel and dime us over every little thing. My estimate with the broker was pretty close to accurate, but there was some increase since we used about 130 more cubic feet than originally anticipated, but increase was very reasonable. I will 100% use them again for my next move in the future.

I used Cobra Van Lines LLC. They charged me more then the original estimate 2,400.00 more which was in the error of the original estimate over the phone from an original company. You need to pack by sq foot/weight. They then said they were loading me up in this small truck with another home near me Then was told it would be 4 days for my delivery. This was not the case at all. Beware!!! Of there contract!!! They took all my items off that truck and placed my stuff to who knows!! Then loaded on a 18 wheeler semi. This semi did NOT fit in my apartment complex! They will NOT deliver your items! Also beaware of all the additional details and charges! My items took two weeks to deliver. The moving guys were awesome! They get the brunt of the situation, they are the movers only. My suggestion is go with a local mover of you want your home to stay in the truck they pack. Not this company if you don't want your stuff moved around and wait until your turn on the semi. Im still checking to see if all my stuff, a few things were broke but most in good condition. I was just thankful that I did get my belongings

After losing two boxes, destroying countless items and causing damage to 60% of my furniture, Cobra Van Lines had the nerve to curse me out for calling them repeatedly when they refuse to provide insurance information. As a stranger if there is one thing I can beg you to do it is never use this company. If you value the life you've built and your possessions, go through any other damn company because Cobra Van Lines is garbage on wheels. You would literally be better off taking all of your belongings and loading it into a garbage truck. And if you are going to take your chance make sure you get full coverage moving insurance and have all damages marked down on your delivery sheet for letting those drivers leave. Because my driver's arrived made me pay and sign paperwork before they would drop off anything, proceeded to unload a bunch of damaged items and drive away. Don't bother yourself with Cobra Van Lines it's really not worth the headache and the stress and the hassle.

This company does not communicate with you! They changed the date to pick up our belongings (and only told us after we called twice to confirm the pick-up appt time). They changed the date expected for belonging delivery (and AGAIN only told us once we emailed and called incessantly asking for the information). We were charged almost 3x what our original estimation was, even after walking through our home listing everything off beforehand. Our $700 bike, Keurig, and ladder were the items not delivered to our house (suspiciously specific items to be "lost"). Charlie (our only given contact) refused to set up a voicemail to be able to leave a message as a paying customer. UNACCEPTABLE communication flaws. My family will learn from our mistake, please save yourself the misery and use a (different) company with a good reputation.
