I came here to leave a review on my latest experience, and seeing lately more people have been complaining. The answer is new management. I go to this location all the time, I haven’t been in a couple months, first off they no longer have tools to borrow, I asked if I can return a ranch I needed to loosen a screw , the manager said yes, as I go back to return it , the employee said no, I explained I asked the manager , then manager then goes to tell the employee no to return it at another location. The ranch is not damaged, it’s not dirty. I just didn’t have the right angle to unscrew it . Overall highly disappointed, will be changing the location I shop at .

I'm giving 1 star because there's no 0 stars,I was shopping for auto parts and a guy named Gustavo was on his phone texting with his boyfriend,instead of greeting or asking me what I was looking for,seems like a 10 year old would have better customer service attitude...
Definitely that would be my last time in there,there's is Advance Auto Parts next door.
I'm taking my money and business there next time I need auto parts or accessories!!

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at the AutoZone located at 291 in Newark. The store manager's service was particularly terrible, and I felt compelled to share my experience to warn others.
From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The store manager was dismissive and seemed annoyed by my questions. Instead of providing helpful advice or assistance, they were rude and unprofessional. Their attitude made the entire interaction uncomfortable and frustrating.
I expected better service from a store manager, someone who should be setting a positive example for their team. Unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning whether I will return to this location or recommend it to others. AutoZone needs to seriously address the behavior of their staff if they want to retain their customers.

Worst auto zone location and the worst store manager.
He is so racist and very unprofessional and rude.
Yesterday 07/07/2024 , my friend and I went to this location for buying some screws, my friend went to the car to check if they fit or we have to buy new ones.
Guess what? The store manager came out and yelled at us and threanted to call the police just because we are looking if the screw fit. No work or any mechanic job, just check the screw by naked eye.
When we went inside to return the screws, he refused to accept them even we just purchased them 10min ago and said he is the store manager and will not let us return this and he owns the place and can di anything he wants.
We left and tried to call the customer service and we got same person and hangged up on us and refuse to talk.
When we went to another auto zone location in Springfield, the guy there was so helpful and was able to return the items and gave us the number to call the regional manager to submit a complain.
We heard so many complains about this guy in Newark location 291 and confirmed he is the worst and I hope autozone will listen to customers and fire him asap to prevent further inconvenience with clients because he is just presenting the company in a bad way.

I went in there to purchase a battery and it was very cold out. A young man name Sawyer didn't think twice sold me the battery and took old one out and installed new one reagardless how cold it was. He had a positive attitude and he showed a passion for what he does.

I AM SO HAPPY TO WRITE THE REVIEW.. I HAD CALLED HERE BECAUSE I WENT TO ANOTHER AUTO ZONE AND THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE ME WITH THE SERVICE THAT I WANTED SO, CALL HERE AND SPOKE TO SAWYER, TOLD HIM MY ISSUE AND I WAS THERE WITHIN 15 MINUTES.. SAWYER WAS VERY FRIENDLY, NICE AND STRAIGHT TO THE POINT.. WHILE HE WAS OUTSIDE CHANGING MY BATTERY, I FOUND OUT THAT HE HAS BEEN ONLY WORKING WITH AUTOZONE FOR 3 MONTHS. I WAS VERY SHOCKED TO KNOW THAT!! HE NEEDS A RAISE ASAP!! Also, The manager Gabe and I did not get the young lady’s name that worked there as well were friendly!! This autozone seems like one big happy family!! With everything going in this world it is good to know that there are still positive people that love and enjoy their jobs!!THIS AUTOZONE WILL BE MY NEW AUTOZONE TO COME TO WHENEVER I HAVE AN ISSUE!!GREAT JOB AUTOZONE ON FERRY STREET!! SAWYER AND GABE YOU GUYS HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!
