The staff are not friendly and don’t go to them for guidance . We were sold a completely wrong adapter and they wouldn’t take return either since we opened the box. Poor service and unable to buy what we wanted but ended up spending $45. Take extra time to visit local big store to get want you want.

TLDR: Kite+Key damaged my laptop, didn’t fix the issue, and tried to charge me for their mistake. I wouldn’t trust them with your devices.
I brought my Lenovo laptop to Kite+Key because the screen wasn’t displaying an image, though there were no cracks or damage. Lenovo’s user manual and diagnostics app suggested it was simply an issue with reconnecting the LCD cable, so I figured it would be an easy fix. I even shared the diagnostic results with the Manager (their name sounded like “Ash” on the phone), and Walter, the Assistant Manager. Instead, they quoted me $160 for a screen replacement, which didn’t make sense since my screen wasn’t damaged in any way. When I called to ask why they recommended that, the Manager couldn’t give me a clear answer, and after I followed up by email, I got no response. So, I decided to take my laptop back without any repairs.
When I finally got it back, I was shocked to find a crack in the screen that wasn’t there before! That’s when it clicked — they cracked the screen themselves and wanted me to pay for a new one. I called the Manager, and they promised to replace it for free. It’s been a month, and I’ve heard nothing. When I followed up again, the Assistant Manager told me no replacement was ever ordered. At this point, I’m done expecting anything from them.
I ended up fixing the original issue myself in 15 minutes by reconnecting the LCD cable, but now I’m left with a cracked screen that Kite+Key caused.
Bottom line: They don’t communicate clearly, potentially tried to upsell me, damaged my device, and didn’t follow through on fixing their mistake. Think twice before trusting your tech to Kite+Key.

It took them a month to tell me they couldn't fix my laptop. And now I can't pick it up because they have no evening or weekend hours. What a terrible, over priced computer store. I'm sorry Rutgers students are stuck with them.

Needed an accessory for my Mac not only did they have all of the products I required, they made sure to walk me through the compatibility issues, Were very knowledgeable and a great help here in the city. Don’t need to go to an Apple store when you have all the resources here at Kite + Key in the Hahne’s building!

Do buy anything from here, they don’t accept returns. Much better going off to a bestbuy or the apple store. Return policy isn’t publicly posted anywhere either, deceptive sales tactics. Should’ve known since it’s always empty.

I called earlier today inquire about a 87 w usb-c charger for my MacBook Pro. The person informed me that they had a couple in stock. They told me they closed 4 pm today and are closed on Sundays. I walked there and found there door was locked and lights were off. It was 2:30 pm. There was no sign on their door indicating an emergency and having to close early. Mind you I called at 1 pm. They should have told me they closing early.

By far one of the best customer service experiences of my life! The staff and the technician were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. I walked in having very little knowledge of my own laptop and left feeling confident that I would know how to troubleshoot issues down the road. I highly recommend!!!
