“A great local long standing family operated Pharmacy off central Ave in University Heights Newark NJ. This pharmacy is definitely underrated. They provide the same resources in a “non-corporate” way. The pharmacist here is a wonderful caring man, who will go out of his way to help you. They offer vaccines and more. (It’s not a big place to go shopping) But if you’re looking for a local pharmacist that will always be on top of your medication, this is the spot. (Near Giovanni Pizza)”

“I notice that the reviews are from months ago. Service for me at the pharmacy was quick, efficient and helpful, yet recently they seem to show favoritism to their Hispanic customers. If they want to look out for their people, that's fine, I have no problem with that. However, I suggest that they please be caring and professional enough to consider others outside of their ethnicity.”

“I have been getting my medication from this pharmacy since 2008 or so. I cant say enough good things about this pharmacy. Everyone is very professional and goes out of they way to provide excellent services. I got a call a few weeks ago about wanting my signature on a document, and the driver who has the document went out of his way to come to where I directed him of my location and find me. I don't believe anyone will do that. And each time I called to refilled my meds with no problem. Billing dept is wonderful. Cinndy from Billing is a great part of the billing dept. I don't speak to anyone but Cindy for any billing questions or paying my bill. I cant say enough about everyone that works at this company. I'm always happy and very satisfied with the timing and delivery of my meds. They should have a ratings of 100% instead of 5 stars. Have not gone to any other pharmacy since. They are the very best in excellent customer service, hands down!”

“Today was the first time I visited this pharmacy to see if they had a medication I needed that was on back order in cvs and Olshin’s . Fortunately they did have it . The pharmacist attended me was absolutely very friendly and knowledgeable about all my medications. I highly recommend this pharmacy . It’s clean . The staff is friendly . The pharmacist answered all my concerns . I left there transferring all my medications to this pharmacy. I give 10 stars if I could .”
“I am not from the local area and was looking for a place to help me out. I called all over and found out that even Wallygreens couldn't help me. This place did. The woman on the phone when I called was very polite and though I could tell she was busy and had customers talking to her at the counter, she still took the time to explain what I needed to know and even reconfirmed the details with me.When I arrived, she was very kind again, as I waiting behind others in line, even some of the staff from behind the counter looked over and asked if I was being taken care of.I had to return again today as my travel plans changed. I dealt with an entirely different set of staff and had the exact same experience. I would recommend dealing with these people for your pharmacy, testing and general needs any time. I hope they don't mind me either cause I'll be swinging by again!The ONLY reason they don't have 5 stars is because they shelf selection was a bit limited. Not that it mattered much to me but I do want to be fair when writing these so that the owners know where they can improve and the customers know what to expect. Nonetheless, they were awesome and helped me out perfectly.Cheers, thanks and be well.”

“I've been to this pharmacy soo many times. The pharmacist Larry is really nice not to mention HOT!!!! The one guy Kaylan that works there was so kind and courteous. He disclosed the fact to me that he was also HIV positive and that I should not feel depressed about getting my HIV medications. He discussed with me how he has been living with full blown Aids and Is still healthy and undetectable by taking his meds. This pharmacy is Amazing!!!”

“Ive been coming here since the start of Covid 19 pandemic and they were in stock with everything I’ve needed. I’ve recently went in to pick up medication and asked doctor/lead pharmacist(not sure) for info about a 3rd party that my main dr didn’t address. I was met with clear answers and a breakdown in terms that I’d actually understand lol! Super grateful. 10/10 recommend!”

“Love this pharmacy.... Attendance are fantastic and very empathetic and kind hearted....I suffer from major agoraphobia and a debilitating anxiety and panic disorder....and I had no one who was able to pick up my medication and I ended up venturing out on my own (a complete basket case)....sweat pouring off me and shaking like a leaf.... I couldn't go on any longer without my medication....My medication was filled when I got there and I needed desperately needed to take it I hadn't had it for a few days and I asked the clerk if I could please have water and they are only a pharmacy they do not sell other items so I just needed water and to have a seat for awhile until my medication was working and I could settle down and the beautiful person graciously gave me her bottle of water...I offered her cash for the water but she would not accept it... Little tokens of human kindness go a long way.....”

“I used to love coming to CVS because I genuinely find it fun to shop for toiletries. However, later in life I discovered that CVS prices are super steep compared to Target and Walmart. They use a high/low pricing model so you should really only shop here if the specific items you want are on sale or if you are using coupons. We are all familiar with the running jokes about how ridiculously long CVS receipts are but seriously, don't sleep on the coupons! Yes, it's annoying to keep track of them and to have to use them for very specific brands or categories of items, but a deal is a deal! I have no shame checking out, getting a receipt with coupons, and turning right back around to buy the items with the coupons I just earned. I came to this particular location because, you guessed it, my boyfriend had Extra Care Bucks coupons. It's a pretty large store so I believe they have a good selection of products, however, I spent most of my time in the snack and food aisles so I can't say for certain. They have a decent sized parking lot so you won't have an issue finding a spot. I noted a sign outside that said they offer flu and COVID-19 vaccines.Initially some of our coupons didn't work because we used the wrong CVS card number. The cashier was a bit uncertain at first but he eventually sorted everything out. He ended up having to re-scan all of our items which I'm sure he found annoying but he was still pretty patient and friendly. Can't expect much more from your neighborhood convenience store.”
