“Took my son here for the first time, he has been asking me since he saw their table at NA day event. He’s very into Pokémon cards right now. As we were browsing one of the gentlemen gave him a Halloween pack right away. We bought 3 packs and had a good conversation. As we were about to leave the 2 guys gave my son a whole stack of holographic cards for free. There ended up being a holographic gyrados in that stack of cards and my son has been hoping for that card in every pack he opens, it made his day. Great customer service and highly recommend. “Could not be more overjoyed having received my 50 yo teddy bear and a homemade Raggedy Andy. It did take a long time (5 months) and was VERY expensive but so worth the time and money. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm so happy. The only complaint was clothes were made for a Raggedy Ann not Andy. But it's not a big deal I have their card and Andy clothes can be made another time. So happy with the outcome. THANK YOU!!”
“This bookstore is large and pleasant, it has a large number of titles for children, it has a coffee shop where you can spend a pleasant time and many windows, which allow you to enjoy natural light. The only thing that would improve is to add children's books in Spanish, my son is 6 years old and loves to read in English and Spanish and is learning to speak French but it is difficult to find children's books in these languages.”

“For my birthday this year, one of my plans was to tour comic book shops in Manhattan and Queens, and this was one of the first destinations on my list! Forbidden Planet did not disappoint! This shop is phenomenal! There's such a wide range and variety of different fandoms represented, tons of unique collectible figurines and merch both vintage and from more recent times, fun accessories like buttons, pins, keychains, and of course so so so so sooo many single-issue comics, graphic novels, mangas, and collected comics. The employees were so friendly and attentive and helped me find the exact Lumberjanes and Kim Reaper graphic novel volumes I was seeking. For a Harry Potter reference (because yes, there are also wizarding world collectibles galore!) Forbidden Planet is basically the Honeydukes Sweet Shop of comic shops If you're ever in Queens, or doing a comic book tour of your own, this is a must-visit shop!”
