Pharmacy is always slow as hell! Need more people working the registers! Hate coming here. They board everything up like the entire city is filled with criminals. There’s only one way in one way out. Which requires you to walk through the entire store just to get out. Thank goodness I have a car. I go out of my way to skip as many Newark businesses as I can and as a tax paying resident that is unfortunate!!! Thinking about switching my pharmacy because this is ghetto!

They never receive the medicine, the insurance never covers it, however you send the medicine to another Walgreens and they receive the medicine without a problem and without paying, but it doesn't just happen to me, it even happens to my children. For a minimal vitamin or something you have to pay, oh and they almost never have the medicines available, there are always more on the way and they never arrive 😩 The pharmacy is ready to close.

I don’t understand how a pharmacist can be so short staffed this pharmacy is unbelievable, rude unprofessional, and don’t care about patients and the urgency of their medication. There’s always a huge line. The drive-through is closed. Your medicine is never ready on time, the lines are ridiculous. Please hired more people

I strongly advise against using Walgreens for your business needs. Their "same-day pickup" service for business cards is completely unreliable and misleading. The service should come with a disclaimer like: Same-day pickup available only if we have the advertised paper in stock and staff available in your area. This lack of transparency and reliability has harmed my business and left me extremely dissatisfied.
When I finally got transferred to the complaint department, the representative, Brittany, was incredibly rude and dismissive. She kept commenting on how I was using the term "false advertising" and condescendingly said she understood I was upset, but "realistically, there’s nothing anybody can do for me at this point." Her only solution was to escalate the issue further up the chain, which left me feeling like my concerns weren’t being taken seriously at all.
Adding to my frustration, the pharmacy in my area has refused to fill prescriptions based on assumptions about whether I could afford them. This is not only unprofessional but outright discriminatory.
At this point, I cannot trust Walgreens for anything and won’t spend another dime with them. If you care about your business or personal health needs, I highly recommend seeking services elsewhere.

The store had the items I needed. I just wish they were more employees on the store floor.

Worst Walgreens in Newark, especially the pharmacy, meds are never ready, the line is ALWAYS long and the staff don’t do anything to reassure the customers.

I would encourage you to ask for the name of the person who you are speaking with to document later issues. Do not accept a dismissive response. Ask to speak with a supervisor or a pharmacist. Please make sure they actually have your medication in stock before you wait for them to fill it.

The staff at the pharmacy are very rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. They should have better training when dealing with customers instead of standing around talking when the line in down the aisle. Horrible, hold them accountable for their rudeness and unprofessionalism

The people who work here. Don't know what they are doing. They are in need of help. If you go to the pharmacy window they just jump on a phone call so they don't have to come fast. After lunch they are even slower then before lunch

I came in late at night around 10:30pm due to a stomach pain. I usually go to the Walgreens on Bloomfield but it was closing soon. Initially, I went in to get a pedialyte and a ginger ale but I noticed a lot of amazing sales that I couldn’t resist so I proceeded to get more. Everything went well until I went to the register. The employee that attended me did not greet me despite that I greeted him, nor anyone he attended. I asked him if he had more of the product I had in my hands since there was a sale on it or something similar and he pointed at the product that was similar with the same sale. Okay, great! I ran to get both products which only took a few seconds by the way, it was just on the side wall of the store and on my way back I noticed the line got a bit long that I had to go around it and he attended another customer. Okay fine. No big deal. I patiently waited. Customers on the line were getting upset that the lines were so long and there were only 2 cashiers. One who recently opened. The guy finally scanned my items and I asked if the coupons were clipped, he said yes but in a tone as if he already wanted me out of the store. Then I asked for bags and my receipt. He told me that he had put the receipt in my bag which was a lie and I knew that he didn’t because I watched him put my items in the bag. I just said “okay, thank you” and left the store. Luckily for me the receipt was on the Walgreens app and my items were perfectly discounted thank goodness. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here anymore. I rather wait the next day and go to another store where I know I will be attended well. Walgreens over all should consider getting self checkouts to avoid situations like this.
