It wasn't just any original drawing, but seeing his 911 tribute drawing inside one of his books I asked if he could draw my son, who is an FDNY Fireman, in the piece. The silhouette of my son wearing his fire helmet wound up be a finely rendered portrait of him. It brought tears to my eyes to see such a personal commission rendered by one of my art heroes!
