This place sucks only one register is open for cash, and there a huge line. Like you have so many people standing around jump on a registry and work like common we all don't use cards.

I'm a disabled person with limited actions. When I came into the store to do an even exchange, the customer service line was 8 people long. The poor girl was trying so hard to move as quickly as she could and you could hear it in her voice that she was on the edge. Not ONE person in management came to help this girl. I ended up standing fir over ten minutes, and that's including with those that gave up. Because of this wait, I had to rush to their Dunkin' Donuts section and collapsed on a chair, otherwise I would have done so on the floor. Not all disabled people use those scooters, some of us knows our limit, but this store isn't friendly to those disabled folks.

I had to leave 2 minutes after walking in because it smelled TERRIBLE. The smell gave me a really bad headache and made me lightheaded. I thought I was gonna pass out.

This place sucks. Do they ever restock? Can't use Walmart pay at checkout. Welcome to the white ghetto. This is the way the retail world ends. What a f****** shithole.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at Newton, NJ location! My grandmother tried to make a purchase with an OTC card from her insurance Amerigroup that is only redeemable at Walmart. The cashier told us she had no idea how to use the card and gave us push back around using it. After explaining to her we can only use this card at Walmart we insisted she tried to run it so we can complete our purchases. She gave us an attitude and advised we needed to pay a balance of $35. When we asked which item was not covered and coming up as $35 she said she didn't know and was not able to check. She stated we just needed to pay it and that's all she could say. When we requested to speak to a manager she then went on to state that she can call one of the managers but it was wasting time because they were going to say the same thing. The manager eventually came over and said they were not able to assist us and the items were not returnable if we figured out through the receipt which item was the one coming up with a charge. It is completely ridiculously to believe that a POS system does not show a price for any given item. It is even more ridiculous that a cashier or a manager isn't aware of a card that is EXCLUSIVE to Walmart. Please train your staff and hire individuals who don't act like they hate their job or are bothered by your customers!!

This morning I went in to get a new charger for my fitbit. I wanted to avoid looking in store, and when I went on the website to check if it was in stock, nothing came up when I searched "fitbit charger." So then, I called the store. Upon talking to the lady in customer service, I was transferred to lawn & garden after waiting about 5 minutes for someone to pick up. Then I hung up and re-dialed. I followed the prompts to be transferred to electronics, and waited about 20 minutes on the phone for somebody to pick up. At this point, I was already fed up, so I went to walmart and went into the store. When I got to electronics, somebody was STANDING RIGHT THERE while the phone was ringing and ringing and ringing. Oh, and guess what? They had the charger in stock. I am extremely upset because something that could have taken me 5 minutes would up taking about a half hour- all over one item. This isn't the first unpleasant experience I've had during this store, but this is the first one i felt strongly enough to write about.

Terrible!! A woman wasn't wearing a mask and the workers weren't telling her to put it on. I have cancer so I told her to wear her mask. Her husband started coughing on me and a worker told me I can't tell people to put their masks on. They weren't enforcing it so I'm going to get sick because they're breaking the law? I told him I'd call the police and he said if I did he'd throw me out the store! And that masks were only mandated to be worn by the employees. I'm sending this altercation to the governor office.

The Walmart in Newton,NJ had dwindled. It's horrible now. Every single time i go i cannot buy most of what's on my list. It's not worth the stress and BS anymore. I'd rather pay more to a store whose shelves are not empty and bare! The last two times i went I couldn't buy so many things. LYSOL was only 1 item!! I absolutely hate the Walmart in Newton now. After the last 6 times i we nt shopping there and could not buy things on my list I'd rather pay more at Shoprite a d Petsmart than go through this crap again. I can't believe how horrible this store has gotten,and i think it's corporate trying to save money not the District! Can't even buy Poland spring 32 count bottled water anymore!!

Went to this Walmart today to buy motor oil. So after you pay at this Walmart, they now have a tight cordon exit path with carts and a human herding ribbon where, after waiting in long lines to scan out your own items at absolutely no discount to you, you now have to wait in line to leave the store while another Walmart worker now stands at the exit to check your receipt. I encourage everyone to do what I did and simply walk past without acknowledging any of their requests. The store employees have no legal right to accost a customer to inspect their items again especially after they have paid. This Walmart is absolutely one of the worst in the country.

This is an average sized Walmart that sells the usual merchandise (we all know by now) plus a decent sized Grocery section. And a Sales Associates Team that seem to be friendly and helpful for the most part. Some of this store's best features include: Nice Electronics Department, Pet Supplies, Housewares, Paint & Wallpaper, Lawn & Garden Center, Hunting & Fishing, Seasonal Holiday and Automotive Departments are all pretty well stocked. This store has a Pharmacy Department, an Eyewear Center, and a Photo Lab Department. Normal Business Hours are; 7am until 10pm Daily.
