This property is absolutely stunning it looks like a scene in a movie breathtaking and the owners allowed some of the children to take their prom pictures there this year and they came out beautiful. we are also thankful that they allow this.

Well run and managed stable for 65+ horses on 330 acres of land. The horse stalls are spotlessly clean.

The Stables at Water Wheel Farm, LLC is located on Waterwheel Farm in the rolling hills of Sussex County, in Fredon, NJ. The farm has been in the family for 50 years and has had a horse boarding business running for over 35 years. Bradley Klemm third generation farmer, is the owner/operator of the business today. Many of the horses in our barns have called Waterwheel Farm their home for 30 years or more, an indication of the service and dedication we give to our boarders. The majority of the farm’s almost 500 acres are pasture for the horses that are boarded here. Hay fed to the horses is grown on Waterwheel Farm; giving the horses year round grass/hay that we know is wholesome and good for them. The Stables at Waterwheel Farm has two barns with a total of 49 stalls. The lower barn has 33 stalls and sits on the Paulinskill Valley Trail, 27 miles of trail right at the barn door, no need to trailer your horse to a distant location. The upper barn has a smaller herd and is set in a valley where it is quiet but still easily accessible to the trail through the 45+ acres of pasture. The boarders at our farm can always find a fellow horse boarder to enjoy a trail ride together.

Experience was terrible. The tippeess were not set up ahead of time . We had to wait for the owner to come clean it up .We were sent to the wrong tippee that was being occupied by another couple . The owner and I spoke about horseback riding over the phone and when I arrived failed to mention the horse was sick . Majority of the time noone was there to do any activities or show us around . This was a surprise bday weekend and the least that could have been done was an activity or two with us . The lights in the tent did not work the heater for inside the tent did not work . The owner was quick to get the money and run off for the entire weekend .She called over a friend to help assist in her absence ,he tried his best but truly had no clue on how anything was setup. The other couple vomitted in the hot tub and it was disgusting noone cleaned it up . There was no recollection on when guests were coming or leaving. The owner appears to be a very nice person and all but I don't recommend this place to anyone . I would never ever come back to this place .The animals were very friendly and loving which I would say was the best part . The trail from the tent leading to the main house should of been lit so guests are able to use the bathroom amongst any other things if needed but it was pitch black after 8 pm we found ourselves having to use the bathroom directly outside our tents . Some money should have been given back for these inconveniences but none was offered just a sorry . Great Memories and a cheriable experience was what I set out to have for this trip and what I had was bad wasted surprise bday weekend .

Best trail riding in Jersey. Reasonable board. Turnout to hundreds of acres. Barn is old. Big outdoor ring.

Heavenly area. If I was a horse, I'd live here.

I have been a boarder at Waterwheel for 25 years. I came when my horse was 4 years old. He is still thriving at Waterwheel & still riding the beautiful trails that can be accessed by merely stepping outside the barn. I have added 2 other horses to the herd over the years, & would never think of boarding my 3 horses anywhere else but Waterwheel. From Willard & Jeanette, to Dave & Diane, to Bradley.....the Klemm's have always been part of the horse community & caring folks who want to see their boarders happy & their horses even happier!

We have been purchasing our fresh turkeys for a number of years at The Stables at Waterwheel Farm. We have found the turkeys to be well cleaned, juicy and of exceptional flavor. The farm is scenic and makes a nice day trip from anywhere in the surrounding area.

The Stables at Waterwheel Farm is a fabulous retreat from the hustle of our daily lives. Whenever I go there, the views of the hillsides, the horses and cattle make me feel connected to what matters. Moreover, Diane and Bradley and the entire Klemm family share their joy of farming with those of us agritourists. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall there is so much to see, places to ride horses, and bounty from the farm to enjoy!

Our family (and our guests) love your beef! We have been ordering from here for more than 5 years and have been totally satisfied. Easy to order our cuts and to pick them up. Highly recommend The Stables at Waterwheel Farm!

I've never been on the farm but drive by every chance I get. It's just a beautiful setting. I often go just a little out of my way to be able to drive past. It makes my day a bit happier. ?

Terrible horse boarding would not recommend to anyone! Owners are very immature, rude and completely uneducated about horses. I have nothing good to say about these stables
