I hardly ever give a bad review. I have been using this pharmacy for years. Every month without exception. My hear medication is never ready or available on time Ever. They are supposed to take a coupon as the medication is $90 they only accepted the coupon once. Called the company, they said it can be used every month, they don’t want to put in any effort to process the coupon card. Regardless, the medication is either always out, unavailable, etc, I get it they are over worked, overloaded,, some of us are on a limited budget. And the risk of not having the medication. I’m surprised they don’t get sued more often.

Terrible attitudes in this place, seems like people don’t want to work, the other day stood in front of photo dept to get help, two employees were in that dept both looking at a screen like zombies and not one acknowledged me there standing waiting on help. I turned around and went to shop at Quick Chek. Never again!

I would like to say that the manager on duty in the Newton Walgreens was extremely rude to a cashier. The managers name is phoebe and the cashier’s name is Annie. The manager was extremely disrespectful. She belittled the cashier in front of customers and talking about her only working 1 to 2 days a week. The cashier was trying to help a customer that could not speak english and so the cashier called for help and when she got to the register she looked at the cashier and said WHAT. Im trying to finish putting truck away. Instead of just helping her all she did was talk about the cashier and how she only works 2 days a week. I find it rude and disrespectful. The managers attitude was extremely uncalled for. I hope this is taken care of immediately. That is disgust behavior in a work place. This happened on June 4, 2025. Thank you

🚨URGENT🚨I went in to this location on Wednesday June 4th at around 9:15 when at the check out there was a very sweet lady helping customers check out, she had called for help due to a customer in front of me who could not speak English upon arrival of the manager she was very rude to her employee, degraded her on the amount of days she works, and her work ethic, if you ask me this is very disrespectful and totally not okay to treat a coworker like that especially infront of customers or other employees. The employee who this was done too looked like she was about to cry. Hopefully this matter is taken into consideration and that employee gets spoken too.

Forever grateful for this pharmacy and the staff that work in it. Any problem I have they address quickly and thoroughly, often providing solutions I hadn’t known were possible. Ellen, Jovanna, Peter, and all the other staff are kind and attentive. I feel they really understand how important it is for the customer to get medications in a timely manner and address any complications that arise in that process. Kudos to this team.

When my daughter and I stop by with our baby, we were desperate to have our prescription filled. Even though the pharmacy was in the process of closing on a long holiday weekend, both Melisa and Alyssa were outstanding! They were so compassionate and understanding about our baby’s ear infection and went above and beyond what normal employees would be expected to do. They stayed late and were able to call the hospital and get our antibiotic prescription filled. Customer service is so important and these two ladies were extraordinary!!!

Don't buy gift cards here . . . bought a 50 dollar card this morning- but it had already been used somehow . . . Apple and Walgreens refuse to reimburse, ugh!

Unfortunately they had me wait 3 weeks for wrong med, not what was ordered. Unfortunately no matter how detailed the order and script, they will just do "what ever"! If it not for the fact that Walgreens is gobbling up all the other stores, I would choose "other". But... Buy Walgreens stocks!
Go Walgreens Giant, Go big pharma ! Size matters! 1 global pharmacy! No choices ! Go broke to buy your meds!! YAY!!

This pharmacy department is so horribly managed I've repeatedly gone through multiple avenues to set up "auto refill" that will allow my whopping amount of TWO prescriptions to be filled at the same time. But they've messed it up over and over again, whether it be them not lining up, or them filling a two months prescription of a basic medication with only two weeks worth of pills. It's been more than 5 times that I've verified my prescriptions are "ready for pickup" online or over the phone, only to show up to neither being ready. Don't get me started with how sluggishly show they are behind the counter.

I'll start by saying that I prefer Walgreens over other pharmacies and that this store as a whole is a 5 star for me. The pharmacist in charge is extremely helpful and friendly, the problem lies in the rest of the pharmacy staff. They are rude, and at times at least in my opinion, not very knowledgeable. Every time I arrived to pick up a called in refill, or when I walked in with a written prescription, I had to wait a considerable amount of time. They don't understand insurance, how they pay, what they cover, etc. Having to explain to the point I did is just not necessary. It got to the point where I was calling my insurance company myself asking them to please call the pharmacy ahead of time. My insurance company and coverages are great, customer service always very helpful. They would call Walgreens while I was on hold and tell them what was necessary so that I could pick up quicker. Even then they would actually argue with me before filling the script. Numerous times I would have to call my insurance carrier from the counter, ridiculous.
