What an extremely rude and unprofessional person. I called to book an appointment for my 5yr old daughter and she literally hung up on me. I had given all my personal information and credit card to reserve my appointment and at the end I was instructed to wash and comb my daughters hair the day before so she could be ready for her hair cut. She said I couldn’t do a bun or braids and I mentioned to her that her hair was probably gonna get tangled up during the night time and during school before her appointment , so I wanted to know what I could do to help it. And literally she just said I’m sorry I can’t cut her hair find someone else and hung up. It Would have saved me a lot of time had she said from the beginning she doesn’t do kids hair. Incredible rude.

Honestly it’s not even worth coming here at all. I don’t care what everyone says but trust me go somewhere better.Plus I heard deva curl is bad for your hair anyways ?♂️??♀️

The owner is a girlboss who does everything on her own. My girlfriend treated me here as a valentines day gift and it did not disappoint.She explains everything she's doing and why and the result. What,why,how, are my favorite ways of explaining anything to anyone. Spaced out seats and very clean. The place is pretty nice location wise as well with several food options both on the same block and a Dunkin across the street.I highly recommend it.

? Great customer service and atmosphere. NOT your typical 'walk-in w/no appointment, chatterbox noise, or regular priced' hair salon. Concentration is on your natural curls and each of us have unique curls that requires an individualized maintenance plan which is why an appointment is required. Your assigned appointment provides you the time needed to go over the important details about your curls, the unique service required and helps customers realize the importance of natural and accepting it. Ms. Iris (owner) and Ms. Natasha got things down packed, organized and running. After my 1st visit, I recommended this place to familia and friends, and they were satisfied. Can't wait for the next visit. UPDATE: 7yrs strong natural curls dedicated customer. ?? Just look at them ?curls via my Google profile pic. Never blown or ironed my curls straight again since.??

She’s extremely sweet and knowledgeable, she walked me through the entire process of cutting and styling my hair (I had many questions, sorry lol!) I was really looking forward to returning here for a haircut, but when informed of the policy for a 50 dollar deposit and a 72 hour notice of cancellation, I had to decline. I believe I remember paying the 50 dollar deposit at my previous appointment 2 years prior, but now with 2 kids under 2, it’s too risky, and I would risk losing that 50 dollars. I understand this is your policy, and you need to make sure you are making a profit, but life happens, and it is a haircut. It is not like I am missing out on a medical procedure. I am afraid you have lost another customer because of this. Fortunately, there are other salons that do curly cuts in the area, but I will miss you guys.Services: Haircut

Meh. Pretty expensive for not much actually being done to my hair. The haircut is (just) ok but I could get that done for way less than over $100. And I loved Iris saying how dry my hair was like her instructions weren't to wash your hair and let it air dry with no product in. Not worth it if you have afro hair imo

I tried to make an appointment with her (I’ve been going to Devachan for years and was willing to try her based on some reviews). She actually refused to cut my hair (she literally said no exceptions) because I have had my hair styled once for a wedding 1 week ago. She said I would have to wait 4 months before she would see me. I totally understand needing the hair to be untouched for optimal integrity but I have NEVER been refused a haircut by Devachan or any other Deva trained stylist for this before. She tried telling me that Devachan has the same policy… but I have been going to them for 10 years and that is definitely not true. I wen5 ahead and booked my appointment with Devachan this weekend.

This place wasn’t great. A children’s cut with barely any hair was $60/$65 dollars. There was no passion. It was bla and done. It wasn’t even and I guess she’s not use to kids. Idk. I just don’t think the place is great. Saw someone else get out the dryer and the cut was horrible. I don’t think they’re really curly hair professionals.

Very unprofessional! I called on Tuesday to cancel a Thursday appointment. I had no problem paying the fee and did not ask for a concession; however, I did leave a message stating that I had an emergency and could not make the appointment. I left a message and did not receive a call back. 15 minutes into the appointment time, the owner calls me and asks if I was coming in? I expressed that I had left a message that I could not make it and I never received a message from her. She told me that did not leave a message because I should have noticed her phone number and called back. Who in the world calls back every missed number? She never once asked if I wanted to reschedule, sorry for not leaving a message, or how have you been keeping up your hair since the last appointment. I think that all she cared about was receiving the 40%. The conversation would have been 1 minute if she simply asked if I'd like to reschedule and then take the 40%. Instead, she pushed her anger or whatever she was experiencing on me.Wow! This is the very first review I ever left for any business. As a business owner for years, I was completely turned off by this woman's attitude.
