It was great to have a Costco finally open up close to my parents' house! We used to drive all the way over to Bridgewater when we were younger and it felt like such a long journey lol (again, we were children). Anyway, this Costco has a great selection indoors! It's set up like any other Costco. They have a gas station outside which is always ridiculously crowded. I guess that's also typical as well, except for the fact that we're in NJ and you have to wait for the person to come around to pump your gas. That's probably why it takes a little bit longer than if you went to a Costco outside of NJ.

While not my usual Costco this one now has a 3 person verification procedure. While standing in line for self checkout I was asked to see my Costco card to verify if my photo matched me.After self checkout 2 stern looking ladies asked to see my receipt and marked an "8" in red ink on it... 8?Then at the door the usual verification but much more serious and inclusive.WTF?..... y'all best stop stealing! Making the rest of us look bad.

I visited The Costco in North Brunswick today for a hearing test. I can't say enough good about the staff in this department! Everyone was so very professional, pleasant and helpful! A very special heartfelt thankyou to Kate! You were so very knowledgeable and helpful with the test and assisting me with choosing the perfect hearing aids for me! The best of the best! With best regards Diane Kohlhepp

My preferred Costco in this immediate area. Only Edison and a North Jersey one can sell alcohol so I'm not counting that. Sometimes Costco's carry different products which is a bummer and it'll be catered to the surrounding population so that can vary. This one is always clean and staff is pretty good. Gas station on site but it gets pretty crowded. No membership needed for gas station.

I love the positive energy in this Costco! The lady at the entrance greeted me with a beautiful smile that I can see even with her mask on! The store is clean and very organized. The gentleman at the exit checked my receipt and then a very polite "have a nice day!" Bravo to the team working here.

Congratulations to Costco in Surprise, AZ. Today, was in store and an idiot walked into the store with no mask and told the attendant he was vaccinated so he refused to wear a mask (doubt he was vaccinated, just a belligerent pig). Just inside the door, a couple of Costco employees stopped the man and told him he must wear a mask while in the store. The loudmouth started arguing but the Costco employees stood their ground-excellent. The man finally put on a mask and walked around for a few minutes then left the store-hopefully, he went to Texas to shop. If all stores had the gumption to do what Costco did, this pandemic would be over with very quickly.

I'm giving 1 star for customer service of this location. Their staffs are incompetent and their manager is rude. The customer service guy ALEX G. charged me $130 for a membership upgrade instead of $30 (he put in the wrong account number). I had to come in another day for a refund, wasting 1 hour of my precious time waiting for them to fix it WITHOUT any apology from the crew members or the manager BERN. No one knew how to reverse the amount. At the end, she told me "Are we straight? OK?". That's it? OK. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT FOR WHAT YOU PAID.

I'm probably not the only one to say this, but one of the best things to happen in my home township this past decade (2010s) was the opening of Costco in 2014. This came with the opening of BJ's on the other side of Route 1. Both are staples for many families and small business owners alike. For my family, Costco is the go-to. This is built like most typical Costco locations. Super huge warehouse, very similar layout. Anyone who's been here knows the drill, you come here for - maybe - 10-15 things and end up buying like twice as many things that are not on the shopping list. Go through each and every aisle, from looking at TVs to buying a random set of bedsheets to looking at clothes, food, etc. Pre-COVID, sample some food too. Anyhow, I don't have much more to add than most people. People who come to Costco know why they're here. But I'll give you some key tips of Costco, I guess: 1) Take advantage of Costco Gas (even if you don't have a Costco card): People may not know this, but you can use your own Visa card to purchase gas. Try to go at an odd time during the workweek if you can (especially if you are WFHing now) 2) You can get passport photos done here. It's near the Optical section. 3) Get the airfryer. Seriously do it, you'll never regret it.

Overall, I love Costco, and my wife and I shop there all the time. But recently had 4 tires installed at the service center here. They scratched the wheels on my vehicle and now are refusing to fix the problem. I think they have a few amateurs working here, and my vehicle was part of their OJT "training program". I was polite & professional in seeking a resolution. Very disappointed in Costco's response here. So my advice would be to avoid the tire center here.

Avanika (supervisor) & Shawn are currently working register 1 (5/21/3020 at 12:12). Shawn couldn't pay attention to me saying I had 2 separate orders and began pulling items from my cart and putting it on the conveyor belt. I didn't want to interrupt his conversation with a 3rd employee (but I had to). He had the audacity to be insulted. When I explained I'm shopping for 2 separate households (like many in NJ who shop for ourselves and our parents), he told me that I could put the items on the conveyor belt myself. Yes, you read that correctly. I responded, "Who can?" & then he did his job. Avanika, he supervisor, didn't utter a word. I've been a Costco member for less than 30 days and the customer service at the cash wrap consistently STINKS at this (& the Morganville) location.
