The equipment is outdated and worn; the employees couldn't care less about me or anyone else apparently; the place looks disorganised like someone threw a bunch of old gym equipment into a warehouse. Plus, the hard sell approach is not acceptable and there were various 'hidden' fees that the offer didn't explain - bait and switch.

Absolute joke of a business. Nothing works in the gym. Weights are left everywhere. Every equipment has sticky leftover sweat.Been trying to cancel. They start the annual membership MONTHS after signing up so that when you cancel it's actually been a year and a halfYou also have to go inside to the club to cancel. Complete scam. They're needs to be rules and regulations for these types of predatory contracts.

Update on My Experience with Crunch North Brunswick:Recently, the owner responded to my concerns in a comment below with an apology and a commitment to address the issues I've raised. However, this gesture, while appreciated, falls short of rectifying the actual problems of misleading contractual practices and poor management accountability that I, and apparently many others, have faced. Attached is a screenshot of the owner's response, which starkly contrasts with the tangible actions (or lack thereof) taken by the gym to resolve these disputes fairly and ethically. This interaction only further illustrates the disconnect between the gym's expressed intentions and their actions. It is disheartening to see that despite acknowledging the problems, the necessary steps to make amends and correct their unethical practices have not been implemented. To those considering joining Crunch North Brunswick, I urge you to reconsider. My experience, from the unprofessional conduct of the management to the gym's refusal to honor clear contractual terms, demonstrates a lack of integrity and respect for members. This situation could have been a learning opportunity for Crunch to improve its services and customer relations. Instead, it has become a clear warning sign to potential members about what they might encounter.I posted this review in the hope of alerting others to the potential pitfalls of dealing with Crunch North Brunswick. It's crucial for consumers to be aware and vigilant, to ask questions, and to demand accountability from businesses.Your health club membership should support your wellness journey, not detract from it with unnecessary stress and frustration.Choose a gym that respects its members, honors its agreements, and upholds ethical business practices.______________________________Initial Review:______________________________Crunch North Brunswick is a cesspool of unethical business practices and blatant contractual violations. The manager repudiates all accountability.Despite politely providing documentation that I followed proper cancellation protocols per their agreement, which staff acknowledged, Crunch then tried changing the cancellation date retroactively - a breach of our contract. When I gathered proof this is a systemic issue they pull on numerous other members (see other reviews), the manager dismissively claimed I simply "didn't read the contract." This is a lie, I have evidence of compliance. He then condescendingly stated his "business ethics are unimpeachable" while reneging on statements to resolve this properly. His conduct has been the opposite of ethical at every turn, as showcased in the attached screenshot of his unprofessional email response.I exhausted all attempts to reasonably uphold the agreed terms, but the manager has burned that bridge with deflections and refusals to accept culpability for his staff's transgressions.I am now pursuing official complaints against Crunch with the BBB and the state consumer protection office. This could all have been avoided if they simply honored their own policies as any reputable business should. Consider this a warning against their corporate malpractice.

BEWARE once you purchase a membership, there is no going back from that! They will drag you for months when you try to cancel your membership and keep billing your credit card. For even unexplained chargers (aside from the monthly fees)THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM, NOT A GYMGood luck trying to reach the “manager” who doesn’t show up and always busy, he may be generous enough to reply to your emails, but even then, complete waste of time and ridiculous excuses to take money out of you.

My wife canceled her membership and training and even after 2 months, they are still charging her credit card the membership fee. Every time she has to call the credit card company and dispute. Whenever she talks to the Gym people over phone or in person, the staff and manager are very rude. The manager is never present to talk to.

I will never return back to this gym… I was talking with other employees and talani about personal training. It all sounded good at first very respectful. We to talking i take a day or so to think it over. But then when I go back to talk to talani again my gut was telling me what she was saying was a lie… and guess what it was. They lie about pricing on personal trainers. Tell you they have a “”deal”” going on right now to try and pressure you into signing the papers (once you sign the papers you’re in a contract). I’m sorry there’s no reason to lie about deals to make someone do something quicker. I called multiple crunch fitness and they all said the same price for personal training. The lies they tell is very absurd to me. I will be canceling my membership as well.

Better than average gym, just in a tough location with some hours. Go at noon if your picky about waiting and being in-&-out!
