Let me start by saying that I have gone through this dealer for 2 vehicles which I financed/leased through them as well as having all of my vehicle servicing done at this location. which was a favorable experience. What caused such a low rating is that I received a mailer specifically addressed to me requesting I bring in my current make, model, and year Kia for them to buy back and put me in a "new vehicle of my choice" at a lower monthly rate. Thinking that this was too good to be true, I called the dealer and asked a multitude of questions specifically about my vehicle, type of financing, how this program works etc. I was told that my vehicle would have to be appraised and may be for a lower amount than what was on the flyer which was understandable. With 2 young children, a house payment, and the current state of the economy, having a newer vehicle at a lower monthly rate seemed like something I should seriously look into. WRONG! When I showed up I stood in the showroom and waited to speak with a salesman, understandably so they were all busy but not one stopped to greet us - despite walking past us a number of times. We finally stopped someone who explained they were busy - we asked if it would be longer than an hour and that we could come back. We were told a few salesman were wrapping up and could wait. Again , we stood for awhile until that same salesman came back, lookinf flustered and found a desk for us to sit. We showed the flyer, pointed to our vehicle in the parking lot and were told flat out that, without appraising the vehicle, we would not get the amount on the flyer and unless we were willing to downgrade to a smaller vehicle and pay a higher monthly rate. We were out the door in 5 minutes. Thinking that the dealership knows the specifics of my vehicle and financial situation, I became increasingly upset that this flyer was even sent out to me. It obviously was a sales ploy to get me in the door but it was scummy to do to someone who has been a loyal customer. I even tried calling the manager- was put on hold twice and told he would call me back. He never did. Once my lease is up, I will NOT be returning to this dealership EVER!

Tom and the service desk were extremely helpful and made my experience at Gateway Kia a pleasant and productive one. And James, the shuttle driver, was friendly and made my appointment wait painless. I recommend Gateway Kia highly!

After registering the car with the DMV, I had to take the license plates from the dealer. They called me once to say they had my plates, leaving a voice message. No sms, no email, no follow-up call, just a voice message once. And I really thought that I would receive my new plates by mail. I got 2 free oil changes. I waited 6 weeks to get to the first appointment from mid-June until 1st August week. I ended up doing a paid first oil change at another dealer. The second appointment takes about 35 days. In New Brunswick... My friend lives in Staten Island and has the nearest Toyota service appointment in 3-7 days. Now I regret not buying a new Prius?

Very good service. My salesperson Steve was more knowledgeable about his vehicles than any of the salespeople at any other car dealerships that I visited this year. He also went the extra mile (literally), delivering my new car to my home 20 miles away and picking up my trade-in car the following day. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

Dan G of Gateway Kia was by far the best I’ve ever dealt with when buying a new car. From start to finish the buying process was easy and went extremely well. The whole team there couldn’t have been more professional and helpful to the car buying process. I highly recommend to go to this Kia dealership over the others in the area because of this. Extremely happy with the whole process and everyone I worked with. Truly knowledgeable people who will go above and beyond to make the whole deal go as smoothly as they can. Thank you all again.

My family and I had an amazing experience at the dealership. Everyone was extremely pleasant and made the process very easy. Gave us an amazing deal as well better than countless other dealerships that I visited. Jeff walked us throughout the whole time and he was extremely helpful and made the wait pass so quickly.

Steven was incredibly knowledgeable about the EV, hybrid, and plug in hybrid models Kia had to offer and helped us pick the right car for the right price. Can’t recommend them enough!

I am so excited to have my new Kia Soul! I would never have thought car shopping would be an enjoyable experience until I met Dan G at Gateway Kia. Service advisor was super friendly and helpful. They even honored a service when it was promised over the phone, but it ended up not being on my plan when I purchased. The mechanics obviously have no care or regard for the vehicles they work on. My car was returned to me with dirty greasy fingerprints and marks on the hood, and along the interior trim and headliner. My car was absolutely clean when I dropped it off, and they didn't even care to at least wipe it down. It is disgusting that they return your vehicle to you in a dirtier state than when you dropped it off.

This dealership team are the best at sales, management, customer service, servicing your vehicle, and just giving you a fun experience...all the time!

My sales rep. Kevin was great. He was very professional, courteous and helpful. He explained all the paperwork I was signing and even offered me coffee or water while I waited. The reason for only three stars is the issue with how long you have to wait to get into the finance office and it does not matter if you finance through KIA or show up with a check from another bank. It took 6 hours to purchase a new vehicle and at least half that time was spent waiting to get into the finance office. This dealership needs additional finance workers, especially on a Saturday.
