This location would not let me reschedule appointment without charging a fee, even though coastal flood warning in area and very windy today . The receptionist said it counts same as cancellation fee ( I am a member here over 6 months and had never canceled / rescheduled before - if anything , one day they made me wait over 30 minutes in waiting area before letting me know aesthetician couldn’t make it and wasted more than 1 hour of my time that day with commuting time included, and I was very understanding at the time ( their aesthetician forgot I had an appointment with her and they didn’t let me know till more than 15-20 minutes go by , and they called her to let her know I was waiting and I was told she’s on the way then later as more time goes by , I was told she couldn’t make it because she had car issues or got into an accident, don’t remember exactly but she was ok )now in this weather they wouldn’t let me reschedule without charging a fee , I got into a car accident while driving to their location just to avoid the fee , and when I call to let them know I’m in an accident , - receptionist doesn’t even ask me if I am ok, and did not let me speak to the manager . I am told I won’t be charged a fee now but how is this humane or an ethical way to run a business ? To have customers risk their well being to make it to an appointment , without taking into account safety of the customers . The receptionist did call me back prior to my accident and had told me rain had stopped in their location and when I left my house on the way it had picked up with windy conditions, had they let me reschedule without a fee , I would not have been on the road and would not have been in an accident .

The massage was okish. Before the start of massage I had specifically filled out 2 forms where I had mentioned specific focus areas and that was not followed. Although it was not a bad experience, it was not good as I had read reviews about. Sorry to say pretty disappointing.

During my recent visit I planned to use one of my remaining packages and then cancel my membership. What I didn’t expect was to get a massage from Sumaya (Maya), a new addition to the great massage therapists at this site. What set her apart was not only her technique (not sure if that’s how to describe it), but also how quickly she set me at ease and listened to my needs. Needless to say I didn’t cancel my membership and I have already recommended her to family and friends. She showed genuine care and as someone who has worked in the service industry in the past I appreciate exceptional customer service.

I am very disappointed with my membership at hand and stone! I canceled my membership at the end of December and was told I had 90 days to use my nine credits for massages and facials. As I started to use my credits, I was told there was no massage appointments available until March, forcing me to use my credits as facials. Finally in February I was able to schedule a massage. At the end of my session, I tried to book my next massage appointment, because I still had four credits left. I was told that my membership had been terminated. The young lady behind the desk said she didn’t understand either because it was stated on my account I had 90 days. so thanks hand and stone for screwing me out of my last four sessions. The young lady did say the manager would call me and no one ever did. I’m not even going to waste my time with another call to see if I can get it resolved. Buyer beware at Hand and Stone.

I recently had a massage with Maya and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had. Her technique was both therapeutic and relaxing, and I appreciated the time she took to listen to my concerns and customize the session accordingly. I had such an amazing experience today with Maya for my massage and Amanda for my facial. I have always found it difficult to truly relax in a massage but Maya made it so easy, I almost fell asleep on the table! She really puts the therapy in massage therapy. Amanda was so well versed on her products and had the perfect touch! Not only was it relaxing but my skin felt cleaner and lighter. She made great product recommendations and even gave me samples to try at home before coming back to purchase! My time was lovely, start to finish. The front desk was warm and helpful as well and answered all of my questions prior to my services. I cant wait to come again next month!

DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP HERE. I had originally signed up here years ago and have since moved. I had one bad experience here a few years ago with a massage therapist walking out of a service half way through when she was giving me the wrong service and didn’t return for ten minutes after saying she needed to go check.The biggest problem is the customer service here. I have called multiple times, left multiple messages, have asked to have my name put down for a manager to call me to cancel my membership and no one calls back. I even had someone from hand and stone Toms River call this location for me and they were even told the manager from this location would call me that same day and still never say.It is 2024, we all have caller ID, our phones weed out spam calls and voicemails are able to be processed even when a phone is off. For hand and stone north Brunswick to tell me they called me and left a message is a lie.I even called again today and the manager was there but was supposedly busy so they took a message to have Alexis call me and I waited two hours and called again and supposedly she had left. I have now left ANOTHER message for the manager who is supposedly going to be in tomorrow around 11am to call me. This is ridiculous. I will be calling every single day multiple times a day until this is taken care of.

I regret my decision to sign up for a membership at this establishment. Firstly, I felt coerced into committing to a membership after using gift cards for my initial treatments. Following a session, the staff aggressively pitched the membership, and I reluctantly signed up.Unfortunately, I lost my job later on and needed to cut down on monthly expenses, prompting me to freeze my account. Despite my clear instructions to refrain from charging my card until I secured new employment, the management persistently attempted to place another card on file. I declined, emphasizing that I would provide new payment details once I was employed again.To my dismay, when the freeze period concluded, they charged my old debit card without notifying me. Fortunately, the charge didn't go through as the card had been replaced. Despite informing them of my unemployment status and inability to unfreeze my membership, they continued their relentless pursuit, claiming my freeze had expired, and I needed to pay.Feeling harassed and disregarded, I requested termination of my contract. However, they persistently press me to sign a termination document, demanding a month's termination fee. I proposed that they retain the prepaid month I had in lieu of this fee, which they agreed to verbally but still sent a document stating I had to pay a month's termination fee.While I appreciated the services provided by my esthetician, the management's lack of understanding of customer service is evident. Regrettably, I cannot recommend joining the North Brunswick, NJ Hand and Stone based on my frustrating experiences.

I came today for a 50 minute massage. Was seated at 3:02 pm. After undressing, my massage started at about 3:07pm. My massage therapist walked out of the room at 3:45pm. Needless to say, I was disappointed.
