“After my wife was hit by another driver who ran a stop sign, we suddenly found ourselves navigating the stressful world of insurance claims and collision repair. Even though the accident wasn’t her fault, our insurance company initially made the process incredibly difficult and pushed us to use one of their “approved” body shops that operate under negotiated rates. From the very beginning, the team at 821 Collision stood by us and explained exactly why those shortcuts weren’t in our best interest. As a GM-certified shop, they insisted on repairing the vehicle the right way — following manufacturer standards and using proper OEM parts instead of junkyard or questionable aftermarket replacements like the insurance company was suggesting.
What really set 821 Collision apart was how much time they invested in helping us understand the situation. Pete and the team spent over three hours across multiple phone calls walking me through the details — explaining labor rates, why safety inspections matter, and what we were actually entitled to as customers. At one point, it looked like we might have $7,000–$8,000 out of pocket just to repair the car correctly. With their guidance and persistence, they helped us push back and work through the process so that almost all of that difference was ultimately covered. They truly acted like partners in the process, not just a repair shop.
The quality of their facility and work speaks for itself. The shop is spotless and highly professional — nothing like the stereotypical body shop environment. Our car is a luxury vehicle and a major investment for us, so we wanted to make sure it was restored properly and safely, not just patched together. 821 Collision followed the full GM-certified repair process, replaced parts correctly, and backed their work with warranties. You can tell they care about doing things the right way, not the fast way.
I was also genuinely impressed with their technology. When I called after hours, their AI-powered system was able to answer detailed questions about my claim and paperwork by referencing the actual documents. I work in digital and AI every day, and even I was surprised to see that level of integration at an auto body shop. It showed me they are serious about customer experience.
In the end, 821 Collision took an incredibly frustrating situation and made it manageable. They advocated for us, educated us, and ultimately restored our car the way it should have been done from the start. I’ve already recommended them to friends and family, and we’ll continue telling people about our experience. “I don’t usually post reviews, but the service that I had received from Chris and Gary at Chris Lordi’s Auto Body was exceptional and deserves to be recognized. I had been hit on the front driver’s side fender/bumper area of my Lexus RX350, and the accident was declared to be a no fault accident, meaning that my insurance company would be covering my claim. From the minute I dropped my car off to be repaired, I felt reassured that my car was going to be taken care of. The insurance company was trying to cover the absolute minimum ($1,900), but Chris handled everything for me. My car needed $8,000 of work, and he made sure to get me the full coverage; he took care of talking to New Jersey Manufacturers insurance. Gary handled all of the actual work that was done to the car and when I got my car back, it looked brand new. No one could tell there had been any damage. Additionally, they cleaned and detailed the inside of my car so that it really looked extra good- you would have thought that I just bought it off the sale lot. I’m so impressed with their service. Everything was done in a timely fashion. They would call and check in with me to let me know what was going on. I never had to worry about anything. I am so grateful for all of their help. Hopefully I won’t need to go back to them again, however, if I need any work done on my car in the future, I will definitely be going to Chris Lordi’s Autobody- truly the best service out there!”

“After dropping off my 2013 Mustang GT, there was a point when I was getting irritated with this place. My repairs were taking longer and costing more than we had initially discussed. I was losing my patience....
But then I picked up my car two days ago and I could not be happier. I told Jose that I wanted it to look like new and he took that seriously. It looks like I just drove it off the dealer's lot 13 years ago! He even detailed the interior and I didn't ask him to do that. The thing is immaculate. I went from being embarrassed that I let my Mustang get so run down to being damn proud of my car again.

“I had a great experience at Van's working with Bruce. Our 2004 Subaru rear glass needed replacement after a storm, our insurance company Amica works directly with Van's. Getting the glass was a challenge and Bruce made it happen. He answered all my questions and satisfied my curiosity about the challenge of finding a rear glass for an old car. The rear seat got wet, and they dried it out in the shop, you'd never know it was a problem. They took great care of us and our daughter's college car. They will be my first call on any auto body repair.”
