Let me start off by saying I've shopped here my entire life and was fine paying a little more cause the convenience and quality was there. Today may have been the last time. I'm very disappointed with the customer service. I admittedly came into the store an hour before closing to do a full shopping. I completed my shopping a few minutes before closing. I went to the register to find out they just closed it. The person was still there. Understandably, they close the main registers a few minutes before closing. What I'm upset about is that they never announced it over the speaker, like every other retail store does, so I figured I had time. The manager also saw me several times and never let me know they were closing the register. I was forced to scan a full shopping cart at self check out which was inconvenient. What annoyed me more was the disregard for the employees as it took 3 times as long to scan the items myself and i was there way past closing. The quality has been diminishing since they changed to fresh grocers which I assume it could be driven by Covid. On just about every occasion over the past several months they were out of something I needed and I'm not talking about toilet paper or paper towels. Prices also seem higher than other local grocery stores. I plan on shopping elsewhere from now on.

I was wrongly terminated yesterday as a cashier off the clock for using profanity towards Stephanie for harassing me after a customer reported me over a week ago to the store manager?!#* Mind you this was my first offense ever and they suspended me 4 days without pay pending termination??? How was that fair to me at all folks???

This grocery store is what dreams are made of. Picture your local shoprite, classier and with a whole Italian deli stuffed inside of it. Franklin lakes natural reserve is literally around the corner from this place. That's how I found it, went for a walk there and decided to stop in here and do some shopping. So glad I did. This store has most of what shoprite has on sale plus their whole Italian section. They were also incredibly well stocked on pretty much everything. The prepared foods just blew my mind away, fresh pastas, sandwiches, rice balls, fresh mozzarella made in house, meats, breads, cheeses, yum. Their butcher section is unbelievable. So many different types of sausages and burgers, everything but a delicious looking back bean and corn burger to a buffalo chicken burger. The parking was really easy, not crowded at all. The staff is exceptional!! Our cashier could not have been nicer. Especially during such a rough time, it was nice to make conversation. Even if it was through masks. I absolutely love this store, it's quickly becoming my new favorite. I see a ton of visits to the reserve followed by a delicious fresh sandwich in my future.

So it is actually now called Green grocer but it is the same owners. I just need to give them a total compliment because throughout this pandemic that store has remained spotless and stocked to the best of their ability. The staff has been amazing . The fact that they are going in everyday during this nightmare and STILL all are friendly and welcoming is amazing. Their produce is impeccable as is their prepared foods. They have literally been my go to throughout this whole thing.

I would say some of the people who work there are nice and some are very nasty like the gentleman that works at the butcher and the manager who never does anything. The place is ok it used to be great.

I joke that everything has the North Haledon tax because there are some things in this place that are over priced. That's my only complaint. Like most supermarkets they have everything you need. There are a few things that makes them superior than other supermarkets. They have a hot food buffet that they make fresh everyday. The best part about it is at 7pm it's 1/2 price. great place to pickup dinner when I don't feel like cooking. Their deli is exceptional as well. They have a good selection including the best boarshead meats. They make sides such as red skin potato and rotelli( my favorites) that you can get. Their bakery is phenomenal as well. You can go there anytime to get your self pretty much whatever you would want from cheesecake to cannoli. Another thing that sets them apart is their fresh sushi section. there is a small stand where you can get freshly rolled sushi. you can also buy 2 and get a 3rd free They have a huge fish selection and also a nice selection of flowers. I may sometimes complain about some of the products that they have that are overpriced as I pay 2 or 3 dollars more than I see at other stores because it's worth it. They have everything I need in one place and have the highest quality products that it's worth it to pay a couple dollars more for some things. Oh, and that hot food buffet they have, is available for catering. They can cater whatever type of party your having with a very wide range menu and great price. They provide exceptional value because the prices are very reasonable for the deliciousness that you're getting.

Place is in a death spiral with this sellout to shop rite. What made Nicholas market special was that they had different foods and brands than mainstream stores. Right now, things don't look to good. I can't see people driving past other supermarkets to come here for shop rite brand items.

Stay out!!! This place is shitty af!! Cash only!! What's worse, the price tags are misplaced and the cashiers don't know how to operate the computer and end up going back to forth 3 times to check the actual price for EACH item!!! Rude and unprofessional, why the hell they would hire this kind of ppl??!!

Pricey "convenience" market. Clean. Ok for a few items when necessary. Like with any store, watch expiration dates. We prefer a more pleasant shopping environment. Unfortunately, there are some impolite cashiers. The job of a cashier is to be helpful and congenial while interacting with customers. Actually, a good position to hone good customer service skills. Management should look into staff training.

Too expensive, but many things are available here. I get a lot of frozen brands not found elsewhere. There is nothing else to quibble about.
