“Working with Richard has been a wonderful experience. We were looking for 2 wall-hugging recliners and 2 easy chairs that would be complementary but that would fit us. I’m 5’2” and my husband is 6’2’, and I have never had an easy chair where my feet could touch the ground. When Richard told us we can have the chairs made to our measurements I was elated!
Richard walked us through the process of taking the measurements, and it was surprisingly easy. He had never been asked for wall-hugging recliners before, so we sent a video of how the chair worked, and Richard’s team was able to create the perfect recliners for my husband.
Richard’s fabric library is stellar! We had many really good options and Richard explained the pros and cons of our different choices. He didn’t rush us or push us in any direction. And he called the manufacturers in real time to see if the fabrics were available. That level of service is unheard of these days.
We were told that it would take 8-12 weeks for our order to be completed. I think it turned out to be 13 weeks because of the challenge to get the right recliner mechanism. Believe me, it was worth the wait.
The delivery process was fabulous! Richard came with the delivery team. The guys did a great job getting to our apartment and navigating past our Christmas tree, to get the furniture perfectly placed. They also took alway our old chairs, a huge relief.
On a side note, I had seen 2 English knitting tables that Richard had. He measured them for us and I went home to see if we had the space for either of them. On the day of delivery Richard asked if I wanted him to bring one over, no pressure to buy. Of course I said yes and found the perfect spot for it!
Working with Richard was a really positive experience. I highly recommend him if you’re looking for high quality custom made furniture. We could not be happier.
PS - Stop by his show room - it’s backed with gorgeous furniture!”
“Wow!!! What an amazing estate salel!! The selection was quite overwhelming and all of the workers were so kind and helpful!! Every aspect of the sale was so organized and you can tell that so much time went into preparing for this sale!! It was a wonderful experience!!!
Also, if you've never visited the store you definitely should!!
It's filled with so many beautiful treasures!!”
“My husband and I have sold jewelry pieces to them and the process was very transparent and fair. I would absolutely recommend them if you’re looking to sell pieces outright.”

“Cutest little jewelery spot! Easy to miss but soooo worthwhile, such a wide selection, great prices, newer pieces as well as antiques, a great place to find something unique. Will definitely be back soon :)”
“We had a wonderful experience stopping by this shop: not only could they restore my vintage chair with such skill and care, but they were so pleasant to work with. I will definitely be back!”
“This antique shop has a bunch of stuff. Every corner is filled with art, furniture, toys, books and more. Each booth is an individual seller so prices differ. My mom ended up paying double for an item we found on eBay.I found some hidden gem post cards that I can’t wait to display.”
“What a find this place is! The Brass Shop has been in business for over 50 years and that was a good omen. We needed to have an old bell jar lamp rewired and cleaned up. It was done within a few days. Frank, the owner, was great to work with and very helpful in having us video how to reassemble our pendant. And, the price was a quarter of what a store in Summit was going to charge for the same work...with no attitude.”

“I have been to a lot of estate sales and Jean of Dovetails is by far one of the absolute best! She is special for a variety of reasons. I’ll name a few:- Offers the option of emailing ahead to be put on a list for the first day of the sale. This is so much better for safety and mental health reasons. The thought of people camping out in cars and being #75 on a list at 8am stresses me out.- Actually cares to do the task at hand and clean out the home and not gauge people.- Doesn’t waste time pricing every single item in the home or looking at every single item in your hand when you’re ready to checkout. Offers bundle pricing!- Jean is incredibly kind and patient, even during stressful situations. I’m not sure how she does it sometimes, but props to her!- Jean respects the homeowners property and has a true appreciation for history.I admire this company very much, especially since more and more crook estate sale companies continue to get away with causing safety hazards and ripping people off, with no respect for the homeowners either. Dovetails is the way to go!”
“It is definitely the right store if you are looking for a vintage gift! Great collection of watches and necklaces for both men and women and the store got a lot more stuff than just jewelry too. Sibel got great attitude and works with you to find what you are looking for. 5/5.”
“Brought my card collection to Dan at Just Collect to evaluate. He was fair and honest. Though I ultimately didn't sell my collection, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Just Collect.”
