No other place has this level of hardware available to the layman, at prices they can actually afford! The staff here is very friendly and helpful, and the place is a treasure trove of good finds, if youre willing to look.

I don’t normally write bad reviews if I don’t like a place, but I really feel I’ve been fleeced here. Long review, TLDR included at bottom.I brought a malfunctioning 1980’s Fisher receiver in to be diagnosed. I was told that it would cost 80$ to have it checked out, and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could put that 80$ toward the cost. After two weeks I called for an update but I was told it could take up to four weeks as they were busy. I called two weeks later to learn it was on the tech’s bench. I called the next week and got the same response, he’ll call you. I called after another week, and then another to the same response. Two months after the original drop off I had not received a call from them. I called again, and was informed my receiver was ready… I was confused and asked what they meant. Apparently repairs had been done and I was to pick up the receiver.Thinking maybe the cost of repairs was inexpensive enough that the 80$ would cover it, I returned to pick up my receiver. Upon arrival I was informed the repair would cost me an additional 250$. Needless to say I was flattened. I had not any word about what was wrong with the device and would not have agreed to pay such an exorbitant amount.I asked for an itemized receipt as a reference so I could know the parts that were replaced and I received a photocopy of the top half of a paper stating the amount they wanted with no parts list. It was a general description of labor. After some haggling I got them down to 200 if I paid cash. I regrettably acquiesced and returned and paid them for the receiver. I was told there was a one month guarantee for the work done. Two days after getting it home and one day of use, the same problem occurred. I called them and was advised to bring it back in.I brought it back in. After a week I called, was informed they hadn’t gotten to it yet. The following week they called me (for the first time) and informed me it was ready. Upon arrival I was informed it would be an additional 60$. I did not contain my disappointment after arguing for the better part of a half hour citing their own guarantee I was able to take it home without additional payment.I took it home and hooked it up and there was still no sound. I encountered the same problem. I called them and informed them, but I will not be returning for them to charge me more money and take me for the fool I’ve been. I’m incredibly disappointed and aghast that a business could be run in such a way.TLDR; I paid nearly 300$ for a repair that I didn’t agree to, only to encounter the same problem twice more. The repairs didn’t work, their communication is non-existent, and their records shady. Do not give them your business.

Best place ever! You can find everything there! Johny is amazing ❤️!!! I went in there looking for Arduino, he helped my son (talking to him on the phone, oversees!) get all the parts he needed to make his car. They also have lots of fabulous records in the back. Those people are sweet, kind and extremely helpful!

I have to give a shoutout to John at Greenbrook Electronics, who helped me find exactly what I needed to finish a project, after striking out at two other stores. Thank you! A+ customer service.

One of the greatest electronic surplus stores in the world. True classic. Real heads who get it, and they got it.NB: shoppers with sensitive hearing, please be prepared to Get The Led Out at SPLs that'd make a Saturn-5 blush - Brad has the whole place wired with a fifty-skadillion watt stereo system and lemme tell you she BUMPS.

I went to this store to buy some electronic items and when I walked inside there was an older man standing behind the counter who was very nice. All of a sudden I heard this very very loud music coming from all over the hell. So I went to the area where the items that I wanted and the music, " if you want to call it that" was so loud that I had trouble concentrating on finding the parts that I needed. Then when I asked the old man where the location of some other items that I needed, he couldn't here me because of the music. So I asked him what is up with the music and he said that the management plays the music all day long. Well I couldn't believe what I was hearing so I gave the man my items and told him that I wouldn't be back!!!!!!! I did called later and they said that it was still going on. I don't understand that someone would run a business like that. It was actually sickening.

There is no other place like this on the planet. Brad, his team, and his store at Green Brook have a really special thing going on. When in the area, always enjoy a visit, and always find something incredible. Absolutely worth a (potentially lenthgy) afternoon visit, if you're looking for a tough to find electronic component, a book on electronics, a great record, or a specific capacitor/transistor/etc you might need that day. Incidentally, along the way you might find an autopilot or scientific microscope on one of the many shelves in the backroom. Go. Enjoy it. Its an incredible experience.

Mark and Brad at Green Brook Electronis (A++++ helpfulness, knowledge, and pricing) are what I'm looking for when in need of something!!!! Our business was in desperate need of a capacitor for our elevator (they didn't even know how important it was) so I called them from Manville at 5 p.m. (stores hours stated they closed at 5:30 p.m) and told them where I'd be coming from. Can I make it? They said come on over. We'll I'm sure you know how traffic can be on Route 22 at rush hour... I called again at 5:25 and said I was going to arrive just after 5:30 p.m. They said (I believe it was Mark) don't worry we'll see you when you get here. They were and they were so helpful. A+++ business experience. Thank you gentlemen
