Bought a 2026 Civic Si over MSRP in August. The salesman made promises he didn’t keep and was let go soon after, the manager wouldn’t honor what was discussed. The car started having issues on day two, and while the dealership did try to help, the problems remain and other Honda shops can’t fix them either. Problems keep getting worse and I'm stuck with this car. I wish I could return the car. I wouldn’t shop here again.

Purchased a 2026 Honda Civic SI on August 18th. Was charged 5000 over MSRP for the vehicle and it wasn't even clean when I bought it. Streaks through the windshield that you couldnt see through at dusk or dawn and weird water spots all over the interior. I requested a cleaning up on picking up my plates a month later. Car was cleaned perfectly however, At this time it was determined that the water spots were actually stains from some sort of cleaner that would not come off. Salesman told me to contact him if there was any other issues. Immediately told him this was the case after leaving the detail area (he was off earlier and left me in the hands of the staff). This was over a week ago and I have attempted communication multiple times without a response.
UPDATE: manager called by the end of the day to get this fixed up. Simple manufacturing issue that has since been replaced through Honda USA via a different dealer! Sad to have to wait a month for service when the solution took less than a 15 minute conversation.

I brought a vehicle to Route 22 Honda in Plainfield for a pre-purchase inspection, which cost $229 + tax. I was shocked to learn that this fee did not include pulling diagnostic trouble codes from the vehicle.
When I asked about getting the codes read, I was told there would be an additional $100 “discounted fee” just to pull them — something that takes about 10–15 minutes and is often done for free at places like Advance Auto or offered as part of an inspection at many other shops.
When I questioned the charge, my service advisor simply responded, “This is the way we do business.” That was the extent of the explanation. I then asked to speak with the service department supervisor, who refused to come out of his office to speak with me at all.
In the end, I used my own code reader and pulled the codes myself in about 9 minutes — saving myself $100 and confirming how unreasonable the charge was.
Between the inflated pricing, refusal to explain rationale behind policies, and poor customer service from management, I do not feel this dealership offers good value or transparency. I will not be returning, and I recommend others shop around before trusting them with inspections or repairs.

Horrible Service Departments came in first thing i said to the service representative is i have a turbo charger code but im not sure can we verify that. He said sure let do a thorough diagnostics . Come to find out he said the hose and the o ring needs to be replaced i said sure but what if its the turbo and not the o ring or hose he said well check it after the service completed the service and the codes came back after 1 day ? My question is who’s going to reimburse me $500 for misdiagnosing my car?

Our sales person Mohammed S was very courteous and very helpful, since this is our first electric car to lease. He gave us some point of the pros/cons of having electric car. I told him my budget and he worked on that numbers right away, It's so much easy to work with Mohammed because he listen to his customer point of view/concerns, unlike most of sales person from other Honda dealership we went before. I highly recommened him and we definitely coming back to VIP for our next car purchase.
