Brought our sick dog there while we’re visiting the shore. Really wonderful place, so kind and my normally very nervous dog was cooperative and liked everyone, wish we lived in the area year round because it was as a really good experience.

Oh my god, that was the worst vet experience I have ever had.All my dog needed was a few vaccines. They insisted on using a muzzle, which I was fine with, but it understandably increased my dogs anxiety.Every time the vet would go to give a shot, she would grab her skin with her nails and shove her into the wall. My dog kept getting more and more agitated, whining and thrashing. The vet kept yelling at her and saying “You’re making this hard! You’re making this difficult! Ugh!”I stepped in and asked “Hey, could you please give her a minute? She’s really stressed, she needs a minute to calm down.” And the vet refused until I physically stepped in and asked her to stop. After my dog had a moment to calm down, she was fine and the rest of the exam went smoothly. We got up to the counter and I paid. The vet prescribed her several medications that we had not discussed previously. I was just so ready to leave that I didn’t inspect them, which I recognize is on me.When I got to the car I realized that the cost for the appointment was FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. They charged me $20 for an “ear medicine” that is just rubbing alcohol and Aloe Vera. Each vaccine was $50 and they charged me a $10 “NJ DEP/OSHA fee.”All in all, extremely unprofessional and terrible experience.

After 10 days of antibiotics, my 16 yo dog was not getting any better. Brought him to NAH looking for alternative plan. The vet was very kind and realistic with me. We came up with a plan of new topical and oral antibiotics, and meds for his achy joints. We will try them for a week and follow up. I felt confident working with her. Office visit exam was $65 and the meds came out to $100. To get out of there under $200 was really nice. I have spent way more at other places. She never pushed additional medicines or procedures.

Dr Debra Schiely helped my dog several times. He recently had a serious surgery that he recovered very quick from. I had some questions in the middle of the night and e-mailed them and had answers in the morning. The most important thing they are always able to get me in the same day if I call with some serious concerns about the health of my dog . Her stuff is very kind and professional. Oscar loves Ashley she is amazing the way she cares for and understands distressed animals. I highly recommend this place also because they always explain everything and never run unnecessary tests. Thank you Dr Debra!

My family recently brought our family dog here for a emergency visit, they said his problem was just a infection and said no tests were needed and gave him some pills, two days later he passed from a heart attack...lesson is do not rush your diagnosis and actually care when it comes to your job. Thanks for nothing but heartache.

Our dog had a cough. I called to make an appointment. I had to wait A WEEK ! The cough got worse. Try to come in earlier. Was able to on day 6. Our dog was given a shot, told to take a pill once a day and Robintusin DM. The next day he was still coughing but ate. Second day he vomit and pooped in the house. I called the hospital at 8am. Closed. 830am closed. 9am open and I was allowed to bring him in. It was too late our dog DIED ! They did not have any answers for me. Why is a hospital closed and with no emergency contact info? I advise anyone in the area to find another Veterinarian! I give them 0 stars!
