During last week's snow storm our town (Sparta, NJ) got a lot of very heavy snow. Lots of fallen trees, and many roads in our town were just not passable. So, eventually about 70% of our town lost power. While we are lucky enough to have a generator in the house, we needed to refill the propane tank. In spite of the challenges accessing our neighborhood, Eastern Propane delivered a full tank the very same evening we requested the service. We appreciate the quick response!

If I could give zero stars i would. We had to change to c.o.d and we just told today the minimum order is 200 gallons. When the minimum was only 100 gallons 5 months ago. No communication! We live on a tight income and sometimes all we can afford is a 100 gallons at a time. Ready to tell them to come take their tanks and be done with them! Absolutely ridiculous! And the absolute worst thing is the office is closed Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Must be nice to always have a 3 day weekend when most people only have a 2 day weekend where they have time to make calls.

I ran out of propane and I’m on automatic refill. Jose delivered on July 4th. He was very professional polite and answered all my questions. And explained some!!

These guys have no regard for their customers. Similarly to other reviews, we made a mistake and were without propane. An employee went so far as to leave a note on the door to let us know they were shutting the valve but never made an attempt to knock on the door to give us an opportunity to reconcile the account. We’ve been 4 days without heat or hot water and we’ve been told 4 times now we’d receive a call back but had to reach out ourselves again today to find out we might not get restored until 4pm. That’s almost 5 whole days without hot water or heat. All the guy needed to do was knock on the door and we’d have had this problem resolved but I guess he figures people don’t need heat when the lows are in the 30’s. I hope we don’t smell too bad when they finally decide to show up!

Spoke with them today after realizing I had zero propane and a cold house.(my mistake)
Scheduled and paid for a delivery, I asked was told delivery in a few days. I asked is there a way to receive a delivery same day since I was visiting from out of town. I was told yes, pay a fee and receive today. I even commented that the fee was reasonable considering it was considered an emergency. I also asked several times, is this going to happen today?
Answer was yes, pay the fee and get it today.
I call a few hours later and get told, the delivery is set not for today but for three days later. Which I the. explained I’m from out of town and unless I receive a delivery I will be forced to get a hotel room or drive 4 hours back home. Assured a phone call back, that never happened. Then I was brilliantly told if I was a monthly customer, that someone would probably have come. Plus, since it’s their equipment no other propane company would emergency fill. What a joke, drove back to my main house, 4 hours later.

Very high prices compared to market rates. If you elect to do auto delivery they come when your tank is 50-60% full just to collect the service fees. Calling the office to complain means you'll talk to someone who takes the message and then never gets back to you.
