“We moved here 3 1/2 years ago and this place was the worst supermarket. In the last 6 months they have stepped up their game exponentially! More alternative and organic items available. I no longer have to drive 30 minutes yo get decent groceries. Well done!”

“A taste of Poland in Netcong. Tasty sausages, cold cuts and cheeses. Service with a smile while PL music plays in the background. Happy to have it so close. Recommended if you're looking for authentic Polish foods.”

“Simple Bare Necessities is a TRUE gem, and one of my new all-time favorite spots. I moved to the area in November, and Michaela (the owner of SBN) has created such a positive, community-focused environment that makes me so excited to come back every week (I am ALWAYS thinking of reasons I need to go back!!) I am so passionate about living sustainably, and SBN makes it so easy and fun - I am SO glad SBN exists and that it is making shopping sustainably affordable and accessible to the communities of northern Jersey. Plus, SBN has the cutest sustainable swaps (the retro tissue boxes make me smile), and I feel like I'm having fun shopping there, even though it's for basic (or should I say Bare!??) necessities :) 110% can't recommend SBN enough - we need more shop owners like Michaela in this world.”

“This place is amazing. Best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. They just hired a new guy in the kitchen ,Chris, and he recommended the chopped cheese and I had to stop eating to write a review because it’s incredible. Highest quality food in the area. They get busy so be patient it’s worth it.”

“I’ve never written a review but loved this little shop in this darling town so much, I had to! Besides a wide variety of delicious olive oils that you can sample, they have so many beautiful items! Really unique home deco items, beautiful candles, vases, platters, bowls, gorgeous wood charcuterie boards, along with all the yummy fixings of all types of cheeses, unique spreads & crackers. Best place to find a great hostess gift or special occasion gift or just something to make yourself happy! I wanted to buy everything! Settled on a set of gorgeous pasta bowls from Italy that I just love! A beautiful addition to my glass kitchen cabinets! Owners were super friendly, helpful & made shopping here so fun! And they ship, which I love! I sent another set of bowls to my friend in Chicago, and they arrived packaged professionally and intact. She loved them as well! This is my new favorite place! Can’t wait to see the new seasonal items!”

“When did the Dollar General turn into a Walgreens. They literally have everything except for pharmacy. There’s food Christmas decorations and supplies house supplies personal care items. Feels like you can get everything here. I just stopped in to get a Tupperware for some Christmas cookies. It’s a snow day so I think they only had one person working which was fine because it wasn’t busy here. So I was attentive too quickly.”

“It's good. The fruits and vegetables are really fresh. I came because my friend said they have really good fresh baked bread. I also got some cold cuts so I can make it really awesome sandwich. The staff seem very friendly and enthusiastic. I couldn't find the mustard and the lady stopped while she was doing and help me find it. I highly recommend coming to food shop here!”

“I called the store at 9pm, and asked for a specific item, the person that answered the phone picked the item up amd scanned it to give me a price. Once I arrived very close to store closing they recognized my voice, led me to the item and items related to the occasion (Birthday balloons etc) they were very helpful, store was neat and organized and well stocked.I was shocked at just how many items they sell.My new go-to store.”

“Real nice store variety wise. It's a good go to if you don't want the ShopRite crowd. Not the average dollar store. But I bet you'll find what you want!”

“Clean well stocked store with very good local produce meat and dairy items. Bakery is good but has deleted items which we can find at other sores such as Portuguese Rolls from Texeira Bakery in Newark. Unlike most supermarkets, it does not have the annoying lane obstructing displays like Shop Rite and consistently has lower prices than Shop Rite and Acme.”

“Four stars for a Walmart - maybe I'm losing it. Or maybe when my expectations are already so low to begin with, that when I stumble across a decent location, that it sticks out that much more (and better). Who knows really. While typically all Walmarts are stocked the same - you know the layout of one, you know them all - it comes down the how clean things are and IF things are even stocked at all. This one had both. Everything looked organized, clean, and with no empty shelves. I suppose the biggest reason I gave this location four stars is because not only were there more than 2 cashiers, but there were no lines. I literally walked up with what I intended to buy and was rung up immediately. I'm still shocked about that even as I'm typing this. It's never happened at any Walmart that I've been to - and you're talking about multiple Walmarts in multiple states. While usually reviews of Walmarts are poor, you can't beat their prices on select items. Most locations are either stocked poorly and/or have terrible employees. This one had neither issue. I don't normally go out of my way to have any dealings with employees at Walmart in general and there was no exception here. I only dealt with the cashier and he was friendly. A friendly employee at Walmart.....imagine that! How novel! Again, the layout should be familiar to those who do frequent Walmart in general, as well as the prices and stock. The parking lot is large and you should be able to get a spot very easily. Located in a decent shopping area - plenty of other businesses and eateries close by. Really it's three stars, but due to having more than two cashiers, no lines, and a friendly cashier - they get the fourth star. There's a first for for everything I suppose. Say what you will about Walmart - and I've said plenty over the years on this here site - but once in a while there are decent locations around, and this is one of them. Maybe for those in the area, they don't know any better and this is their only experience - trust me, there's far worse, bottom of the barrel locations out there and that if you were to try them, you'd be begging to come back to this one. So appreciate a decent location, because if there's only a handful of them - this is one of them.”

“I like to go to this Shoprite if I only have a few things to get and I want to be in and out. It’s about half the size of a regular Shoprite and has a pharmacy and liquor store inside as well. I took off a star bc the produce section is definitely lacking and the produce that they do have in stock is usually beat up/not fresh looking.”

“First time in a Stop and Shop in years and was impressed with how clean and well stocked this store was. Their app and digital coupons however were a disaster. Shelf tags said digital coupons were available for some items yet they did not appear in the app or on the website. I also could not get the register to take my phone number even though I was entering it correctly and matching exactly the way it appears in my app account. (Friendly store associates gave me the digital coupon prices at checkout without any hassle which was very nice. They agreed the redesigned app is plagued with issues and that I was not the only customer who had a lot of issues.)One disappointing thing is that I found Stop and Shop lacking store brand options. Both ACME and Shoprite really excel in that area which would have me more often choosing them over S&S.”

“I watched this massive supermarket, with its well thought through design both inside and out, being constructed a few years ago, but had never gone in due to the fact that there are markets closer to home. Yesterday, I decided to finally try it out.I never thought I'd actually be enamored by a supermarket, but I definitely love this place. First, even though it's now a few years old, it still looks spotlessly new. Second, its thoughtful sections made it easy to maneuver around and find what I needed, even for a first-time shopper. Third, the staff was plentiful and super helpful. Fourth, the selection was the best I've ever seen. And, finally, the staff were all courteous and helpful.”

“Well stocked and very solid "old school type" Shoprite. Stopped in to grab some essentials and I was able to find everything that I needed. Nice looking meats, produce, and baked goods and the attached liquor store was well stocked as well ;DThey follow social distancing here and they limit how many shoppers can enter the store at one time. Although this store is a few miles away from Me, I can definitely see myself hitting it up again in the near future. Come And Get Your Grocery Shopping On!!”

“Great.... In and out, have everything I need, friendly people. They have recently renovated the place with new floors, new design, etc. New fresh look....2022.09.05 update:Still great, now they have added a bunch of self checkout lines. There are two minor annoyances with the self checkout lines; (1) it wants you to place everything in the bagging area. You have to hit the skip bagging button each time, which is annoying and slows you down. (2) When finished scanning your items, it will allow you to tap to pay or pay with your credit card on the pinpad device. However, nothing will happen if you didn't first tap on pay with credit card on the main scanning touchscreen. Then, if you tap on pay with credit card after you have already processed your credit card on the pinpad device, you have to reprocess your credit card on the pinpad device. I'm always fearful that they will charge me twice in this scenario. Most other systems automatically handle both of these situations.By default, allow me to scan but skip bagging (for example I have 10 of the same item - allow me to scan 1 of them 10 times and leave the other 9 in my cart). What's the fear factor? They have cameras every where. When paying, the system knows I just processed my credit card on the pinpad device (if it doesn't, for some odd reason, then it should - fix that). Allow that payment to go through, don't force me to do it again, which can lead customers to think they have just been hit with a duplicate charge (plus it slows things down). If for some reason it is impossible, (1) prevent the user from going off the happy path by shutting down the pinpad device until the taps pay with credit card on the main scanning touchscreen, or (2) if they process their credit card before tapping pay with credit card and then they tap on pay with credit card, don't force them to process the credit card a second time, you have their information from the first time (or at least you should - if you don't, fix that) so no need for duplicate credit card swipes.Fix these things to improve speed and user intuitiveness. That will get you to 100%!”
