“I own an early 2000’s Honda AWD with a lot of miles and I needed some advice along with work done on my transmission / filter / hoses. Let me tell you, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a transmission/mechanic shop from the jump. Chris is very knowledgeable was very kind to me, patient with me, and helpful. “Been having issues getting 2017 civic si into reverse, honda has been serving it since day one.
At first, over 3 years ago I was told that the si is tricky sometimes to get into reverse and it has no synchro for that gear. At every serving (5000) oil changes valve adjustment and everything else honda recommended i did through them. At one serving the manager overheard about the no synchro for reverse and corrected the service guy that it did indeed have it. Anyway, it At the point that I was only able to get in reverse about half the time on the first shot. A friend told to to bring it to Wyane but I was hesitant. After telling honda I wanted it fixed no matter what they told me the only the to find out what wrong was the drop and disassemble the trans to find out what was going on. But told me it was a good chance the transmission was shot and could not be repaired only maybe rebuilt. They couldn't even give any idea of cost only to say it would expensive. They did give me a price for a used transmission 4000.00 dollars not including labor.
I met with Wayne told him what was going on and before he even looked at my car told me (based on what described) told me it was one of two things.
As soon as he drove the car he knew what was wrong and gave me both prices the second thing was more expensive but still way way less the Hondas used transmission price.
It did turn out to be the higher price repair. He fixed my car with all oem parts and it's like a new car.
Will definitely be going back for future repairs.”
