I’ve been going to Anthony’s first shop, Bergen Autowerks in Franklin Lakes, for years and have always had an awesome experience there with my European cars. Now that he’s opened Oakland Autoworks, it’s great to have that same quality and honesty for non-European cars too.
The team here is super friendly, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to explain everything. It’s great knowing I can count on the same level of care and service I’ve come to expect from Bergen Autowerks, now closer to home in Oakland.
Highly recommend both shops — Anthony and his team always go above and beyond!

New manager Rich is awesome. Had a bad coolant sensor and thermostat, he was able to have it fixed much quicker than expected and for a price far below any other shop or dealer estimate. He knows what he's doing and won't push unnecessary services or parts on you. Always go to Rich for your car & truck issues!

I recently had a flat tire locally in Mahwah but was able to get my car to Oakland Autoworks. Rich was quick to diagnose the problem and offer more than one solution. I ended up having to replace two rear tires, but Rich found the right tires quickly and communicated through the install and delivery process efficiently and quickly. I never had to reach out to see what was happening. Rich reached out to me through the entire process. He was a pleasure to work with.

TRUSTWORTHY WITH GREAT PRICES AND SERVICE.
Unfortunately I needed brake service on two of our cars. The first occurance was for a 2020 Audi A3. We had gotten an estimate from a tire chain store who said we needed front and rear brakes, alignment and four new tires. I didn't tell Rich we already had an estimate from another place and he came up with the same results but at a better price and faster service. He also took the time to carefully explain the alignment results and explain why the newish tires (1 year old) needed to be replaced because of the bad alignment. Another thing that stood out was that he was able to offer OEM and also slightly lower priced quality parts. The service was completed the same day we brought it in and we are very happy with the results.
Just my luck, the brake light came on in my project car a 2010 BMW 135i convertible. I had previously had it inspected at the local tire chain store and they said the brakes were fine so I thought it might be just the wear sensor. I brought it to Rich and again did not tell him the brakes were recently inspected. An unscrupulous mechanic may have tried to sell me on new brakes but he told me it was just the ware sensor and replaced it the same day.
I am so happy that the closest shop is a great, trustworthy shop.
While changing the tires on the A3 he took the time to inspect fluids topping off the windshield washer fluid.
We often feel powerless at the mercy of the repair shop, but based on this I wholeheartedly trust Rich at Oakland Autoworks!

More than 5 stars!! Honest, knowledgeable, reliable, patient, very fair pricing & much more! Rich is amazing and the best! He has been taking care of our cars for years and always does an excellent job with all regular maintenance and any other issues in a timely manner.
