“This is by far, the best wine shop/liquor store I have ever been to. The selection is so expansive that you couldn't possibly see everything in one trip. The prices are also very reasonable. Sean P, the gentleman who assisted me in finding what I wanted was extremely courteous and helpful, and even helped me carry my purchases to the counter. The gentleman at the register packed everything up for me in a way that I never had to worry about anything breaking on my way back to Newark, NJ. “This place is one of the busiest stores on the weekends and hot nights. Everyone wants beer after 10pm. And they are open late. Last week they had 8 people in the store and 8 people waiting to get in. And that was at 1am. The cops had to direct traffic because of people double parking. Busiest little liquor store around.”

Employee was rude about shopping cart, even though it was my 1st time there and when I saw the sign no carts, I left it at the door. Wanted to buy 1/2 case of wine, but bought 5 bottles because that's all I could carry.
Plenty of liquor stores will allow a small shopping cart and excellent customer service. Admonishing attitude was truly disappointing for such a small errand I often do in Hillsdale or Washington twp without issue. First time I have written a negative review for anything.

I have since returned to mahwah wine and liquors and had a fabulous experience. Maybe my first visit was just a bad day. Service and help was so good my second visit that I will definitely be returning. Thank you for making me feel welcome!”
