With each visit they stop carrying/stocking items I regularly purchased there. It went from being a unique market to just another generic market that gives me no reason to come here when there's shoprite up the road.

Over the past few months their selections have decreased to the point where the have many empty vegetable spots. Yesterday I went in to buy a few vegetables and there were none. That was the first time I left without buying anything and ended with what I needed at Shoprite down the street.

Used to have great prices on vegetables. The vegetables weren't always "perfect" before, but the price difference compared to shoprite was much less so i could overlook the imperfections. Not sure what happened, but now the prices are the same, if not more, as the regular grocery store. No reason to go there now.

Since the new owners the quality of everything has gone downhill and prices are higher for poor quality fruits and vegetables. I have purchased basket cheese and mozzarella and when I opened the bag it was disgusting! The expiration dates were not expired. The vegetables and fruits are not as abundant as before and the prices are higher than a grocery store! The outside vegetables/fruit is like going to the markets in Paterson.

Used to be the best. Now it’s overpriced, quality is down hill. Food is often spoiled. They wanted 5.99 for a package of cherry tomato. $5.99 a lb for red peppers. Shoprite was half the price.

I just bought a package of fresh mozzarella cheese today from the Farmers Market. When I opened it it was the most putrid, spoiled cheese I ever had the displeasure of smelling. Would you please get someone in there who knows how to read expiration dates? Do you ever check your products to see if they're spoiled or you just let them sit there and wait for some idiot to come and buy it? Disgusting.

I have been meaning to give the Oakland Giant Farmers Market a review. This is an excellent store and the cookies are cooked to perfect, not all soft and bending, but firm and crisp. The vegetarian Greek style lasagna is really good. Everything is priced very reasonable, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I love going there.

Bought cocktail shrimp Tuesday at 5:45pm, went to pull it out of the fridge Thursday at noon and it had gone bad, smelling up the refrigerator. I called today and asked to speak to a manager, was put on hold then disconnected. When I called back the phone rang without answer. I am disturbed that the food safety standards are inadequate and may be responsible for making people ill on thanksgiving. Luckily I had bought my crab from ShopRite and still had something to serve guests. If you go there to buy shrimp and they pull it from a bucket rather than off ice I recommend you decline to purchase and change your plans. I will call again and will update this review if I get any response. Very disappointed with the standards of quality slipping so low, I doubt I will return.

Farmers Market, is a fiendly large grocery, fruit and fresh item store. I highly recommend this place. They even have fresh fish and meats. Cooked meals, you choose foods that you want. Ideal for workers in a rush. Very clean Market and last keep taking out food items that are not to be sold. I always go there

My go to place every week. It has gone down hill fast. Frozen fruit being thawed, rotten fruit being sold. Service is getting worse too. Very disappointed

I have been going to The Oakland Giant Farmers Market for over 10 years. Since the new Investors have started running the store I have no reason to shop there anymore. The meat and poultry department was amazing the way it was. Tha fish prices were much lower and the fruit used to seem fresher, and it lasted longer. Don't let me get started with the fruit flies that hitch a ride home with you when you buy just the right fruit they happen to be so very attracted to that day. Unfortunately with the inflated prices of all their groceries ie. Paper products, Milk, eggs, cereal Butter, Oil, Flower and other cooking items. I am forced to go to Stop and Shop and Shop Rite..."The unhappy shopper"

Have shopped here for many years. The owners are Scumbags and take advantage of their immigrant employees. These scounderals were hit with over a $ 1 Million civil penalty and back pay violations by the NJ Labor department . This explains the recent price increases at their 3 locations. The reason people went to these locations was because of the value proposition. Now that they need more revenue to pay their legal obligations they are screwing their customers. People in NJ aren't stupid and if these price increases remain this place will be out of business within one year. This is part of the reason Corrados closed some of their stores. Customer mistreatment.

Great prices. The downside is the product goes bad within a day. Most of the berries taste moldy.
