I had an appointment for a covid test. Arrived a few minutes early. They made me stand up and wait for 20 minutes while they helped customers who had arrived after a did. Wouldn't it be better to get the person with Covid out of the store quickly to avoid infecting others?

Should be shut down. Management is awful. No matter what time you go in the place it takes twenty minutes to check out. They will tell you they only have one person on the register while the managers all walk around on their phone. If they're not going to pitch in and help they should go home

pharmacy help is always different when I go there except for one woman. maybe that is why they are so disorganized and unhelpful. I have decided not to use them anymore to fill prescriptions. Another problem with the pharmacy is there is always long lines and a very long wait. In addition, the men's bathroom is always disgustingly filthy. Unfortunatel, I used the men's room several times over the last two years and each time it was absolutely filthy. Where is the Oakland Board of Health? Avoid Walgreens in Oakland.

Considering this is a pharmacy that specializes in healthcare products, vaccines and other health related products, the mens restroom has been unbearably filthy and stinks beyond belief. We have complained to corporate but to NO AVAIL!! In addition the outside of the store has a broken trash can with garbage strewn all over. When mentioned to the store manager he brushed it off and said "we'll take care of it later." That's DOUBTFUL since the mens room hasn't been cared for in literally 6 months. SHAME ON YOU WALGREENS!!

This Walgreens puts u on hold and has u rate their store before they pick up the call. After u rate them they are short and nasty and give u as vague an answer as they can at the pharmacy! I would not recommend them because they did not care to answer a simple question. CVS is packed with customers for a reason. Rather wait in line at CVS then b treated like a nothing. Cvs pharmacist is kind and caring and as busy as they r will always take time to help.

the store manager Jen cannot retain management at the pharmacy and assistant manager level which tells you that there's a root of the problems that plague this infernal place. I feel bad because as long as Jen was store manager not a year can't go by without a pharmacy manager and assistant store managers leaving telling me she is the cause . It explains why there's new people that last a couple days who just decided to have to learn the job while I waited thirty minutes with dropping off a script. The next day they left anyway . This is true for the front end . Prepare for the longest pharmacy waits and problems that never make sense other than they can't retain and to boot always check your receipt because I've had to get 'store credit ' for overpaying for their charges . They don't allow money back to the credit card..and prepare for a new face because unless you are lucky to find a full timer clerk Jen can't retain her staff again nor assistants so there isn't training unless it's on your time and you get to deal with hearing last weeks new recruits slacking and cursing . If I didn't need the pharmacy I'd rate this 0

I usually do not write a review but i feel so strongly about the Pharmacy staff in this location. Each time i visit this place i spend close to 45 minutes and sometimes leave the place without required medication. My recent visit was this Sunday where we needed to pick up antibiotic eye drops for my wife ahead of the surgery which was critical. The staff used the wrong insurance and wasted 30 minutes of our time. I had to go via drive through again after spending 20 minutes with my insurance and they assured me that this medication is covered. The person in drive through was able to get us medication and she confirmed that previous person was using wrong insurance. May be old one or not sure why given i have not changed insurance. In total i spent well over 1,5 hours but at least i got the medication. Today my wife went to get her medication for post surgery and the same story happened again but the only difference was that this time she could not get the medication claiming that insurance does not cover. While i called again my insurance and they confirmed that it is covered and they see walgreens billing it. how is that possible? Where is the management of this pharmacy? Situations like this can be critical and they seriously need to train their staff properly. I hope someone in management will read my review and will address this issue.

Maybe if they got things right the rude and incompetent staff could be over looked, but that's not the case. Forget the drive through, you'll get through the drive through of Starbucks twice on a busy morning, before getting your meds while being the first in line at Walgreens.

I would give this pharmacy 0 stars if I could. As someone who has worked in the retail/service industry for nearly my entire life I hate leaving bad reviews but I have given this pharmacy the benefit of the doubt for years and they have only gotten worse. Between long lines, them giving wrong medications, putting me on hold and then disconnecting me, rolling their eyes, bad attitudes, being rude and nasty to me I am done. I have tried reaching out privately but was never contacted by Oakland Walgreens about the issues. So this is my last option.Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. There are so many other pharmacies in the area that can attend to your needs. I am in the process of transferring all my prescriptions out of there now.

Great local pharmacy, nice staff, clean and well organized. Waiting time for your prescription depends on the time of the day. Mornings are usually less busy. Thank you job well done.

Just moved to Oakland 2 weeks ago. Transferred all my elderly mom’s prescriptions here. 3 people warned me not to come here. I should have listened. Absolutely worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Will immediately be transferring to another pharmacy
