I brought my car in to have the air conditioner checked and to investigate a noise coming from the front driver’s side, which may be related to the strut mount. Chris was incredibly thorough and explained everything clearly as he worked through what he was experiencing with the car. He was extremely patient with all of my questions, never made me feel rushed, and did not try to push any unnecessary repairs or services on me. He gave me an honest and BEYOND-FAIR assessment of the situation, and I was genuinely floored by how pleasant and stress-free the entire experience was. “I've been coming here for inspection and maintenance for years. This is definitely one of the best shops around. It's almost always pretty busy so it's best to call ahead to schedule appointment. There's no dedicated parking lot (like most shops in Philly), but there's plenty of street parking nearby when dropping off the vehicle. They always explain if there's any fixes needed and get your approval before doing any work. They never try to push any unnecessary services or charge any surprise fees. A++”

“A stop in for some tires. I reached out a day before and they had the tires ordered and there first thing in the morning. I had some things to do and they worked with my schedule and had me on the jacks almost as soon as I pulled in. I asked some advice from the tech who handled the questions with experience. Now, I will say I love to come here for the service, but I also ask them to SLOW down a little so I have a chance to walk up the street to Freddy’s for some authentic local cuisine. Lately my favorite as been the morcilla, but I still have to get the ribs, chicken and rice. If you need tires, and need them fast with no hassle and top notch quality, you HAVE to go to Family Tire Center”
“I had a slow leak in my tire and stopped in to make an appointment. They were able to take it in right away, no appointment needed. They found a nail in my tire, removed it and plugged it. They did not try to sell me a new tire unnecessarily or try to up-sell any other services. Super quick service and very friendly front desk associate. We will definitely use them again!”

“This was my first time going to Matthey Automotive. I would normally take my car to a mechanic in Westmont but they have a new front office coordinator and I have been considering going to another mechanic. My parents recommended Matthey. Overall, it was a good experience. My car was ready yesterday and it seems to be running well. The price was within $100 of the estimate I got from the other mechanic. The front office coordinator I met is Carl. He seems like a nice guy and I especially liked his bakery recommendation!
I don’t think I will bring my car back to the Westmont mechanic.

“BEST SERVICE EVER!!! I’m 5 months pregnant and have 2 toddlers at home. So when my car battery stopped working this morning it was the last thing I needed to happen. I called around to different shops early in the morning and came across this one. The man who answered the phone was eager to help and told me I can come by right away. Mind you this was like 8 am. I dropped off my car and was told they will look at it today. Later in the day, not only did they figure out the problem, but they got me a new battery and put it in!!! So before they closed my issue was not only diagnosed but also fixed at an extremely good price!!! They went above and beyond what I could’ve asked for and made it possible to me to be able to drive my kids to daycare tomorrow and get to my doctor’s appointment. I will definitely be back anytime anything is wrong with my car and i recommend this shop to anyone needing help with their car!!! Thank you so much!!!”
“Another great experience here. Came in with a brake and possible suspension issue. It was stumping me even after prompting AI. Ed's guesses lined up with with what AI was saying but he said it was still a guess and didnt want me spending $1000 on a guess. A couple more symptoms showed, I told Ed and it solidified his first hunch. Really thankful for his patience and care and not gouging me on the price. Car is in top shape now. Thanks Ed!”

“Cam is the greatest and selfless person I have ever met. My car shut off right in front of the shop and I couldn’t figure out why. Cam saw me and went to me to help me. He helped me push the car to the parking lot and also helped me figure out the problem. We were there for about an 1hour diagnosing the car until we figured it out and he ordered the part for me and got it fixed. People like him are rare to come by and I’m very appreciative of his kindness. Any work I need done, I’ll be taking my car to them. I know I can trust them.”
